Give me a break Channel 8. This is not a huge news story.
This is an act of vandalism against a water stain that is being heralded as a message sent from God.
Since 1996, this water stain has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.
The stain was created by water sprinklers.
People believe that the water stain, in the form of "Mary" by some viewers, was a message from God.

People have been flocking to the building all day to mourn the loss of a water stain.

People have the right to believe whatever they want but I am saddened that this was the top story on the news this evening.
A 79 year old woman was attacked on the college campus in Lakeland.
That story placed second.
Water stains are much more important than a human being beaten and robbed I guess.
Hrmph.

It was the top story at 5 and 6pm. This story lasted 3 minutes on the 6pm news. The woman being beaten, lasted less than 1 minute. We timed it. How very sad indeed that a window holds more importance than a human. I am just sick.

That makes me sick. What has this world come to when you put a story about a damn window above a story of a person being attacked? I don't condone vandalism, I will say it's just too bad whoever did this didn't bust up every bit of the window. This is one of many reasons why I dislike organized religion so much (and certain "christians").

Here in Boston, there was a similar water stain on the windows of some hospital. The hospital administrators had to have the window covered to keep people away, as they were getting in the way of hospital business.
This was the lead news story for WEEKS! Meanwhile, all sorts of other things were going on, yet we kept having to hear about this crap first!

Well, because we are not smack in the middle of the bible belt. We are further south so they think we are not truely southern because we don't have a drawl and shit. It's still the bible belt and the news is whipping me with it every day.
