Ha! Take that!
I just figured out how to stop image linkers.
Don't even say it's in my control panel because it isn't.
I use a different host.
It was pretty simple to do. Just have a few more pages of mine to add so that they show correctly for me.
If you run across a page that has red x's, please leave a note in the comments or drop me an email with the url of that page ok? Thanks.
Taking the kids up to the pool for a bit now.
I can't go in but they deserve some fun.
Later.

That's awesome! Is it easier than the hta thing? :) Have fun swimming!

Actually, it's another htaccess thing. Found here.http://www.htmlbasix.com/disablehotlinking.shtml It says it doesn't work for windows but it does. I tried hotlinking a picture on my live journal and it didn't go.

I meant to tell you about that -- I linked an .htaccess method on Code Novice last week and it's a great way to stop the bandwidth theivery.

It's ok. But this is what I was talking about. I didn't want to password protect my sites. This works very well. :)

Hi ya, Kat. I had that same problem and didn't want to password protect my site. So, instead of an htpassword file, I used an htaccess file instead ... seemed to do the trick.

It's a very easy htaccess script. Go to the link I posted in teh comments and input your info and t spits out a script to copy/paste. Voila. No more image stealing. :)
