We have free kids movies here too. When I was single mom with no money, I loved those afternoons out of the house.

They do them in the morning here which is fine by me. I pay for the bus rides (.10 cents for kids during the summer) so it costs me $1.40 to take the boys to a movie during the summer. We sneak in our own drinks and snacks. :)

I wish we had those theatres here, would be fun to do something like that. :)

That sucks that you don't. :( Have you checked your local theaters? Maybe they do something similar?

No free kiddie movies here either. Bah.

That's how we get to go to all those movies! Just saw The Terminal this week.

One of the chains here in the Boston area (Showcase Cinemas?) does a free movies for kids thing every summer. Once a week they have a different family-friendly movie...to get in for free, kids must read a book and write a book report, and bring it to the theater.

I know it's homework, which kids don't like much, but for parents who are trying to get their kids to read more books, this would be a good incentive for them.

Our town does free kid movies every friday night during the summer (anything from Shrek to E.T., etc.) down by the river at a big park. We live close by so we eat dinner, grab our fold up chairs, some snacks and a blanket and head down there. Its fun! I checked the Regal site and they do have a cinema not too far from me that does the free movies so I guess we'll check that out as well. Thanks!

Sorry Terry. :(

They don't show us new movies, only kid movies. What theater is it that you go to Sol?

I wouldn't mind if they did it that way Christine. Not at all. I try to get the boys to read at least 2 books over the summer.

That is cool. Out door movies. I love that idea but it's so hot here. Ugh.

Thanks for the info. There is one 5 miles from me. :)

Cool, hope you can use it. :)
