My Single Mom Life: The gods are angry.

The gods are angry.

My air conditioner just got struck by lightening.
Huge storms in the area

and my air conditioner gets struck by lightening.
Fuck.
The whole house flickered and then the whole house filled up with smoke and the money sucker howled and screamed and died a most horrible death.
I ran and shut it off and we ran outside to see a giant poof of smoke in the yard.
Cars stopped, people stared.
Luckily, every other electronic in the house is on surge protectors.
Scary and exciting.

That really sucks! I'm glad everyone is okay though.

We're all ok but the money sucker is dead. This could be good because now he'll have to get me a newer model at least. I swear this ones been here since like 1972.

Holy shit Kat! I'm glad you're all okay. Man, how scary! Hopefully you'll have a new one in that is a lot more energy efficient and costs you less. Wow, what a way to break the boredom huh? (((hugs)))

That's what I was thinking Karri. I am certainly not bored now...lol

Wow, thats crazy!

holy shit! what are the odds of that happening! i hope you can somehow stay cool kat!

Wow, poor you! Thank heavens you're all ok, and *your* electronic stuff was on protectors.

*fingers crossed* that you'll get a nice NEW a/c unit--soon!

Thank Goddess everyone's all right. Sheesh.

Before I forget -- and this completely OT -- thanks for the new ad, sweetie. That was really kind of you.

Glad you all are alright and nothing in the house caught the lightening.

Hope he replaces the AC quickly.

It has been raining and storming here almost all month. I lost half my shingles Friday afternoon, during a storm with very strong winds, damage seems to be only in my neighborhood though.... have 2 tarps on the roof and it just keeps raining!!! Arghhhh

Glad to hear everyone is ok. That's scary! And I'm so happy it's not you who has to replace the AC - I was worried about that. *HUGS*

If I had to replace the AC, we'd be sweating the rest of our summer out Kirsi. :)

He replaced it right away Auroroa. :) We are all ok.

Got a new one last night. Surge protectors are great. :)

Kristyn, Odds? I don't need no stinkin' odds! I have years of bad luck and unfortunate lot in life....lmao

Holy sh+t! Glad nothing caught on fire, etc.

I'm very happy nothing but the air conditioner caught on fire. :)
