Here we go.

All pictures are clickable for bigger.
It's starting to get a bit windier and more rainy.

Sebastian hanging in the rain.

Here's Mark just hanging checking it all out too.

Even if we lose power, which more than likely we will, I'm going to keep taking pictures and post them later.
It's about 1 hour away from making landfall so it won't be long now.

Just want to say hello to all you coming here from Metafilter.
We are going to stay online as long as FPL (florida power and light) holds out for us.

P.S. Stay safe blog daddy from those tornadoes. Find your safe room and get in there.

Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures.

I'm trying to get some more but it hasn't changed too much from the last update.

Sooooooo glad we didn't join friends more inland. *starting to exhale* STAY SAFE!

kat,

my apologies from tony's site.. i've nothing but compassion. I've lived all over the state of florida for the past 22 years (now in boston), and am lucky enough to name many a friend and family all across the state.

please accept my apology for what seemed to be a lack of concern.

best wishes to you and yours through this storm.

god bless.

I've got the weather channel on and they were just saying the winds are up to 145 mph and the center of the hurricane is just barely away from Sarasota so I'm thinking about you & the kids. Stay safe! *hugs!* :)

LOL... that Sebastian sure does love playing in the rain, doesn't he! And *gasp* Mark let you take a picture of him!

Hope Charley passes you by. I'll be watching the weather news. (And yes, it sucks how the media go bonkers fear-mongering. They should just report the news and status of the storm and issue calm instructions to people in the most dangerous path of the storm, and leave it at that.)

Yeah, he let me take one. It's rainy here but oh so dull.

It's nowhere's near us. They are saying it's in Sarasota because the stupid network people don't know about teh city of Port Charlotte where it actually hit. We are fine. Bored and wet but nothing major at all happening here.

Thank you but I was talking at Tony like that. Sometimes he can be a dink. I mean that in a good way. I like him, a great blogger but sometimes, he's just a tard.
