They may upgrade to a category 4.
It may get really nasty here.
I'm still good.
The news makes it sound really really horrible and I hate that.
We only have slight rain here and some minor wind.
It is nothing as of right now.
I'm gonna head back outside to check it out.
Later days.

Hey Jamie, yeah mom finally got in touch with me last night. We are doing ok so far. The storm hasn't hit us just yet. Nice to hear from you.
How are you doing? I hear your're in high school. That is so hard for me to believe because I still think of you as my moosebaby. Love ya kiddo.

Now I am hearing that Charley might hit us up here on Sunday! Usually these things die down by the time they come our way. So this is going to be a big one.
I'll be thinking of you Kat...hope you and your family stay safe.
{{{hugs!!!}}}

We have about 2 hours till it makes landfall. It looks like it's going to hit just south of us but we will still get winds up to 120 miles per hour. Will do my best to stay online.

I'll be calling Kat by 3:30 - 4 PM, so if she's offline, I'll post an update. It's a nasty one.

Will be here as long as possible and then like Jenni said, she'll take over. We have a system in place for such emergencies..lol
Thanks for thinking of us.

Just checking in, to see how you are. I hope things are ok there. I'm too tired to figure out the time difference (it's 10 PM here). Thinking of you! *HUGS*

Thanks Kirsi. We are all ok still. It is picking up in intensity a little bit. About 1 hour from making landfall.

OIY, how scarey. I will be thinking of you guys all day, worried. Another friend of mine lives near Ft Meyers and she got the heck out town for this one. So, be careful! HUGS!
Posted by: Lani | August 13, 2004 3:15 PM
FT. Meyers is getting slammed right now as we speak. I am north of that and bracing for it.

You're the only person I know that could be bored by a hurricane (bwah! I just went to get a *wink* smiley and you have a hurricane gif in there).
The fallen tree pictures are pretty cool, take care though!

It is completely over Krix. I took pictures all day and we had a very calm day. As for being bored during a hurricane, yeah. If it's not really nasty out there, it's like an average everyday florida storm.

I'm guessing that there are many people who are not as bored as we are by this non-event. For them, their neighborhoods, this storm was much more significant. I think the lakeland ledger has a web log about the damages to the areas so far.

I wasn't making light of the situation. I was prepared for this and it never came. Without cable and given the very bad information our news was giving out for the last 48 hours, there is no way any of us could have known what was going to happen elsewhere.
