My Single Mom Life

At least it wasn't hot out there and I went all by myself. *stomps foot and raises head snootily in general direction of doctors*...lol I hate not being allowed to go places alone but I didn't want to wake ex-roommate up just to go to the post office 4 blocks away.
It's finally looking and feeling a little fallish around here.
It's probably 80 degrees out there right now with a really nice breeze and the temps are supposed to go in the high 60's to low 70's over night.
Yay!!

Any of you willing to temporarily part with your Anita Blake series for awhile?
My friend Shell offered me her e-reader account where she has some but ex-roommate is the one reading them while she's at work so the e-reader is good for me but doesn't work for her.
We wouldn't need all of them. If you wanted to do this, I could let you know which ones we have and you could send the rest and then we would ship them back either one at a time as she finishes them or all at once when she's done.

Funny story for you.
I smoke outside (I know bad habit, don't lecture me. I'm a prisoner in my home with not much to do.) and so every night when I feel like a smoke, I go outside and every time without fail, there is a spider waiting for me.
Not just little spiders, oh hell no. Wolf spiders are there waiting for me.
No one would believe me until I started making ex-roommate go out there with me when I smoke so she can kill them. I'm terrified of them.
She thinks it's funny how they really are right there by the door waiting and when I step down the one little step they run straight at my feet and I scream and almost jump out of my skin.
She's just used to going out there with me now to squash the little bastards. It's like they know I'm scared and they have this plan to get me as often as possible.
I could go out there 6 times a night and there will be 6 spiders. ex-roommate kills them all and the next time, there is another. One of these days, I just have this feeling that there will be like a swarm (do spiders swarm?) waiting out there and they will run up my legs and start biting me.
