I'm going to ask for help and I don't care who gets mad at me.
The cat has not expelled anything else from her body.
I have to wait until 48 hours has passed which will be tomorrow at 3:30 and if she has not expelled any dead kittens or sacs or whatever, I have to get her to a vet or she could die if there are dead kittens inside of her.
I do not have the money to save her life.
I made several phone calls today and the cheapest vet I found wants $140 for an office visit and an xray to see if there are dead kittens inside of her and then more if they have to remove them.
The boys have fallen in love with this cat since we took her in and when I told Sebastian that I would have to take her and drop her off at the humane society to save her life, it devastated him. He cried and screamed and told me to to take his $50 that his nana and pop pop gave him for Christmas to save her so he can keep her.
This cat loves him and sleeps with him and this would crush him.
I know pets die. It happens. It's a part of growing up but maybe it doesn't have to happen to him just yet.
If you want to or can help us with the vet bill, even just a buck, please help us save her and get her looked at at least.
Maybe she only had the one, we don't know. I can't tell and the only way to know is to get her to a vet.
If you can spare a buck or two, please help.

I got it. Thank you so much. I am going to make a bunch of calls tomorrow and see about more help. Maybe pet placement can help too with the spay after she gets looked at.
Thank you Thelma too.

I'd do more if I could, babe.....

No, it's good. My sis is going to help me get her to a vet late tomorrow if nothing else has happened. I don't think it will. It should have happened by now. :(

How is she acting? Is she still breathing funny, making weird noises, or not eating and drinking? Is she taken to the one kitty or is she ignoring it?
I hope she only had one to birth, but if that's not the case, then I really hope the vet can help. After all, it's for the children.

Thank you so much for helping.
I hope it was just the one too but I can't be sure. She delivered the
empty sack as I said and then nothing else at all.
She is nursing it and taking good care of it. Not ignoring it at all.
She's not making any noises or heavy breathing but looks so tired and
she's warm. Like very warm to the touch so I have to get her to the
vet tomorrow.

I wish I could do more, but I hope it helps. My cat recently swallowed a needle and would have died without surgery. I was jobless and quite broke at the time. My mom eventually helped me out, but without the support of friends, I never would have made it. I hope everything goes well for you and your sweet kitty.
Oh, and I'm donating in Garrison Steelles' name, since he's how I found out, and since it's his birthday. Take care!!

Thank you so much. Garrison is a great guy. Glad your cat was able to be helped. I can't imagine a needle. I would have been freaking out.

hey kat. i gave what i could to your cause because i know what it is to lose a pet and i wish you luck with your kitty! let me know what happens...

I sent something, Kat...I hope the kitty will be okay!
About this time, 12 years ago, my beloved Mitty the Kitty almost died. He was just a baby, and he ate tinsel off of the tree. TINSEL IS EVIL if you have cats! I was grateful to be able to come up with the $$$ to save his life.
Now I want to help you save this kitty. It's the least I can do.
I hope she will be okay.

Thank you so much Sarah. Every bit helps. I will post updates on her after I get her to the vet. :)
Posted by: kat | December 1, 2004 10:40 PM
Thank you. I got it. Tinsel is evil. I had cats that would eat it like it was tuna and thenget so sick. I never use any tinself anymore. haven't for years.

how is she doing ? i am sorry i can not donate the credit cards are all maxed out and the check card is in the negative or i would believe me i hate when animals are in pain ... i hate it. i hope you are able to get her to the vet and get her some help she needs i don't know about there but here the animal shelters do spay and neuter clinics for free sometimes maybe you can look into that and also there is a website i think sometimes help with animal costs its www.bestfriends.org maybe it would be worth it to give it a look ? keep your hopes up. :)

Still nothing as of this morning. She ate and drank some and she's nursing but I'm taking her to the vet this afternoon just to be safe.

It's ok. So many people are helping. Thank you. Sorry about your goat.

I remember what it was like when My mother was a single parent and we also had cats, that often times we couldn't really afford, but that she kept anyway because we loved them so. Hope all is well.
Posted by: Elizabeth | December 2, 2004 9:46 AM
Thank you so much. :) We do keep them even though it costs us an arm and a leg to feed them and stuff.
Posted by: kat | December 2, 2004 10:31 AM
I've made a donation to the cause, it's from myself, Amanda and another friend of ours named Jennifer.
Should you have any money left over, please consider donating that to your local cat welfare. They are an organization that does wonderful work for homeless cats and makes sure that none have to be put to sleep. They also help support population control and education.
Granted this request is made assuming that there may be something left over. I pray that there is and that more money is not not needed.
Which would tell us that your kitty is doing well and only had the one kitten. Many hugs and happy holidays.
BTW..... should anyone get mad at you for loving your children so much that you would make a public plea the way you have for help......send them my way, I'll set them straight for ya.

Thank you so much. If anything is left over, which I also hope there is, I will gladly donate all of it to the cat chelter here called Pet Placement which does spays/neuters and shots and adoptions of cats in our city. They are who I got my first two cats from.
Thank you so much.
