I wanted to like Napoleon Dynamite. I really did.
I got off the pc and hopped on the couch and watched it.
I mean, the reviews from other bloggers everywhere said this was the must see movie. You'll love it. It rocks. People quote it all the time.

Am I missing something here?
Did I get the edited unfunny version or something?
The only part that was even remotely funny was his dancing. Ok, the fight with his uncle but that's it. Really.
Maybe I lost my sense of humor or something.
Maybe I need to watch it again.
Stoned or drunk. But I don't do those things anymore so maybe triple up on pain pills and wash them down with like 5 sodas.
I just don't see the funny everyone raved about.

I honestly think this is one of those mass hysteria movies. It's like a small group of people goes around telling everyone how funny it is and how you'll absolutely love it and if you don't, something must be wrong with you.

I've seen it happen with other movies before. I know it happens and I think that is what happened with this one.

But in other movie news, help me pick one.

My aquarium light bulb blew out about 2 months ago. Because of it's odd size, I was unable to get a new bulb for it and I believe the switch was broken too.
So I just had to break down and buy them a whole new light setup. It's bigger than the old one but it rocks. They got it here fast and everything. I know That Pet Place has some neg feedback but they had great communication with me, gave me a tracking number when I emailed and asked for it and it arrived on time and as scheduled.
So if you need pet supplies and want them from Amazon try that pet place.

Sebastian and I walked to the post office (Karri, they said yours will be there Tuesday and Bean, yours will get there Monday) and on our way back, the church was giving away free baked goods.
I am not ashamed to go to a food pantry if I need it.
So anyway, we go in and there is this huge table stretching all the way down just full of breads and bagels and bananas and everything.
The lady says it's all from Paneras and Publix. Just take whatever you need or can eat.
Well I have two teenage sons who eat like it's their last day to live.
And it's Paneras...lol
I used to work there man. I love their Asiago bagels and breads and oh my god.
So anyway, we got 3 grocery bags full of bagels and foccacias and Italian loaves and sandwich hoagies and some bananas so I can make nana bread and they had grapes and everything.
Yum.
I put most of it in the freezer to keep longer but wow, we have snackage for growing boys.
Yay!

Ok, Mark is in a pissy mood cuz he has to go mow the lawn and his friend Mikey is busy so he can't come hang out or Mark go over there so he's all tude up in my space and I'm ready to choke him to death and he's only been home since 2pm.
Sebastian just completely did the litter boxes half assed so i just wasted money on cat litter.
He only dumped half of it out and poured new litter over the top like I wouldn't notice that at all.
Can I kill them?
Man, this is gonna be one long weekend if this shit keeps up.

I just inherited a really nice recliner which I love but in order to fit it into my small living room, I had to move the boys whole pc set up into the vacant room and run the router wires across the floor up against a wall and under the door and take out a lamp, move the sofa and coffee table. I am not sure if I like this set up at all.
It looks ok. It looks like we have more room in here but feh ya know? Like it'll take some getting used to for sure.
I got a ceiling lamp too.
I hate lamps actually. I just don't like light but it's not bright.

Ok. I have to run up to the store and get Mark some gas for his mower and some cigs and then I'll be back to mess around in here a bit more.

I just ordered my amazon stuff on the 25th late at night and it showed up today! yay!
My moms film, Sebastians birthday present, shhh it's hidden.
And my 10 pack of vac bags.
I ordered a 10 pack because I'm an obsessive cleaner and they were 10 for $7.99 which is a way better bargain than the $4.99 for 2 I was paying at the hardware store which was the only place in SRQ that carried my vacs actual bags.
When generic vac bags say they fit your Dirt Devil D vac, they are full of shit. They are either too small or the opening is in the wrong place. I modified with duct tape too many cheapo bags. So I have real bags at a cheaper price and my floors are clean.
I know I said I wasn't going to clean anything today but I am antsy as well as sore and I can't help it.

I need to do the bathroom in a bit here. Two boys are really gross. That hole is huge, how the hell do boys miss all the time?
Or! Oh my god, I hate this, they piss with the seat down, get pee all over the seat and then close the lid. No flushing either.
So you go in, open the lid, there's piss on the lid, seat and a whole bowl full of it.
I hate it!!
I always yell at them, "whoever was the last one in here better get that little tinkle machine of theirs back in here and clean this up!"
9 times outta 10, it's Sebastian.

Ok so Karri, your jewelery is going out tomorrow morning priority mail. Mom and dad, your film is gonna have to wait until Tuesday cuz I have mega stuff to do this weekend to get ready for Georges wedding and stuff. Jenni, I'll get your ring to you on Tuesday too.
I'm like frantic thinking about the wedding.
I have to go pay the elec bill on Tuesday morning, take the kids to the dentist again at 1:30 Tuesday, go to Bed bath and Beyond and get Amy and George some kind of present. Luckily they registered there and the stuff they put on their list isn't that expensive so I can get them a gift. They have been so awesome to Mark and me. I can't even tell you. Mark is becoming a good young man because of me and because of George. Big Brothers is a great program people. If you're a man and you can spare a few hours a week, please do this. It makes a huge difference.
Ok, off track there. I need to buy a cheap disposable camera for the wedding. I was going to use my sisters digital but she hasn't spoken to me in a few weeks and that's fine. Be mad. Feel sorry for my kids. Whatever. My kids are awesome. They are smart and funny and polite and kind and generous and caring and so no matter how much members of my family think I'm a fuck up and a shitty mom, my kids prove otherwise so there.
Bitter much Kat? You betcha. I'm so tired of people hanging onto old things I did in my past. I am not that person anymore and we all make mistakes but it seems I'm the only one who those mistakes are the be all end all in my family.
It doesn't matter one fucking bit what anyone else has done, oh hell no, only me. I am the fuck up in the family and certain members will never ever let me live those mistakes down even if the shit they did is 10 times bigger than what I have ever done right bro?

Man, this started off in happy direction and went south. I have issues as you can see and sometimes they bubble and surface and burn at my soul.

I am not sleeping so well so as soon as the boys left, I went back to bed and only got up cuz the phone rang.
I wish I could just stop answering it. It's like I've been programmed all my life to answer the ringing thing.

So anyway, lots to do but really have no idea how much of it I'll do because well, I don't feel like it to tell the truth.
I am in a mood of non motivation and instead I would prefer a few days of utter slothdom.

I am one hurting woman today.
I am so frigging stiff I had a hard time using the bathroom...lol
For school orientation, we will leave the house earlier if we are walking again so I'm not as rushed as last night.
It started at 6:30, we left at 6, I figured a half hour is good, the schools not that far.
Yes it is.
Dammit.

So anyway, I have lots of seated stuff I can do today.
I need to finish uploading all my pieces and get their descriptions in, delete the old pages after I do that cuz that's where the descriptions are,redo the links to the bead pages, mod my forums and figure out dinner.

I have been such a bad mod. Honest.
The last 2 days have just been either sucky or hectic and so I like barely posted at all and when I did post on Tuesday, it was a curse filled tirade at the 2 year old games people play.
Yeah. Good going super mod.
You guys know me. You guys know that when pissed off and it takes a lot to get me that pissed off, that I can curse like a sailor with a bad case of crabs and scurvy who's been at sea for 10 years.
These people, oh man, I think I caused a few eyes to bleed...lol
I'd go delete it cuz I can do that but I always stand by what I say in spoken and written word and I think leaving it there may deter anyone else from fucking with me.

So anyway, I'll be around off and on in between getting things done that need to be done.

I am still in shock that he will be entering high school in the fall.
It's sad man.

He has all his required courses and all his electives chosen and hopefully he will get his first picks.
His first picks in order;
Law studies 101
Critical Thinking
French
Business Science
Computer Science
German

My baby wants to be a lawyer.
Am I a proud mama? You bet.
He has the grades to get him in his first picks so lets just hope he gets them.

He has to take Life management studies and Physical Education over the summer or he will have to give up his electives.
Those 2 courses are only 2 weeks each so we signed him up for those summer curses to get those out of the way. Law is far more important than phys ed.

I am so tired now from the walk. It's actually farther than I thought it was. Probably because from the bus stop to my house it doesn't seem very far but when walking it bites the big one.

Time to take some meds and work on my portfolio.

Had a lot to do today.
Had to fill out all of Marks HS paperwork and we are headed there in a little bit to register him for HS.
Can you believe my baby is going to high school?? *sniff*

Making dinner early because of that so we can eat, get dressed and go.
Luckily the HS is in walking distance so this won't be too bad at all.

My day started off ok. Got the kids to school as noted and then I began on my merry way doing all the things I should be doing and then all hell broke loose.
I don't know what the fuck is wrong with people.
I don't know why people have to start shit when there isn't any shit going on at all.
Things were good dammit.
Now, I'm pissed off and angry and confused as to why people do stupid fucking shit and then drag me into it.
I ended a friendship because of it.
I don't need that kind of drama in my life at all and to get me involved in their stupid petty little bullshit irritated the crap out of me.

I placed another supply order and just called to check on it. Glad I did too cuz one item is out of stock but they have another of the same thing just in a different shape which is fine.
I can work with different shapes but not not getting it at all.

So now I think I've calmed down enough to go back and do what I need to do and all that stuff.

So the boys are off to school much to Sebastians disgust and Marks complaints of still not feeling well.
Before you jump on me about sending him if he's sick let me just tell you "how sick" he was yesterday.
He was well enough to stay awake all day long and sit on the pc and play his on line game that he loves so much and eat chips and dip and play with his action figures and jump on the couch when he thought I wasn't looking as well as annoy the crap outta me all day with stupid questions.
I got absolutely nothing done yesterday at all.
It was a barrage of stupid questions.
What are you doing? Can I help you make that? Are you fighting on the message board again, what are you doing, what are you making me for lunch, are you mad at me cuz you're outta smokes?
Shut. Up. Now. Please.

So I sent him to school. Gave him a few cough drops for his pocket, gave him some Advil for the headache that miraculously returned this morning and a dayquil liquid pill.

I go through these phases where I absolutely hate talking on the phone. Like for weeks on end, I hate hearing the phone ring and I just don't answer it or when i do, I I do everything I can to get off the phone.
Sometimes I just really hate talking.
Does anyone else ever feel this way?
I feel horrible that I don't want to talk to people and they probably think I'm being a bitch or I'm mad at them but sometimes I just can't stand talking. Emails? IMs? Sure, will do it all the time but sometimes, the phone just makes me want to hurl.

So anyway, if you've called me in the last few days, yes i have either been sleeping really or I just didn't want to talk.
I'm still trying to teach the boys to just let the answering machine get it.

Mark is home sick again.
He is just coughing like a mad man. It sounds like I have dogs. I gave him some nyquil, rubbed vicks on his chest and sent him back to bed.

Been having scanner troubles.
The small yellow lines are now huge yellow lines covering more than half my flatbed.
Damn.
If anyone either knows how to fix that problem in easy tech terms, let me know please and if anyone has scanner recommendations I would appreciate it.
I think I just need a new one.
There are a lot of used ones on Amazon for under $30 so I can just get one of those, my parents film and a gift for Sebastians birthday.
Maybe.
I need the frigging scanner dammit.

So anyway, been doing dishes off and on. My back has been screwy the last couple of days so they just piled up and now I have 2 sink sides to contend with, made a ring/toe ring that is pretty cool. Check it out.
Click for bigger. It fits toes pretty well. It's adjustable so it tightens or loosens depending on your toe size and all those baubles are fun to wear. I've been wearing that actual one for a few days now since I made it. It's cute and floppy...lol

The boys and I had a quiet, easy day.
We all just hung out here at home watching movies and playing games and stuff like that.
We took a walk to the store round 6 for some food and household items we needed and are now just settled in having a peaceful evening watching Little House.

Have some more jewelery ideas to do and I need to hit my local supplier for some bead caps this week where I found those cool spirally ones for the bracelet and earrings I made. I got an order to buy that set and make a custom necklace to go with it.

It is pretty darn hot out there right now.
Just got back from running all my local errands.
It sucked.
Walk from here to the Post Office and back here to rest my knee. Jag, Carrie and Chelsea, all your stuff is on it's way. Sorry I'm later than I said jag, I had a stack of things to go out so I waited until I had a whole bunch to do instead of one this day and that day. Ya know how that is.

Then I walked up to the corner store and the dollar store right across the street for some red hat charms and some other little stuff.
Ya know what pisses me off?
I'll tell you what.
I bought one red hat charm from an on line supplier for $2.50. One itty bitty charm.
At the dollar store cuz I had to get some other stuff while I was there, I saw the exact same charm on some dollar store bracelets. Exactly what I paid $2.50 for. Same size, same design. But the dollar store bracelets have 4 charms per bracelet! The actual bracelets are crap. They are cheap plastic, but the charms are exactly what I bought on line!! Grrr!!
So I bought every single bracelet they had...lol All 9 of them. I now have 36 charms to make really good quality bracelets out of. Well, 37 if you count the one I paid too much for. I have some square purple Lepidolite beads and some round carnelian beads and the red hat charms to make some really nice red hat bracelets. The lady with the store says she has lots of red hat ladies so, give 'em what they want ya know?

I got both my supply orders in, one yesterday and one today, so I can spend the weekend working on stuff to show her and the nursing necklace for a mom on the message board.

I'm attempting to reset the scanner in hopes that that takes care of the yellow lines. I know it must be from when I unhooked everything awhile back to set up the router. It has to be because that is when I started noticing the problems with the yellow lines.

Not.
Mark has pink eye. caught it from some kid at school. Sebastian has a cough and a canker and a fever so they are both home sick today.
So much for peace an quiet and getting things done.

Not really a whole lot going on here today.
Just hanging, doing dishes, entertaining the sickos.
Well, Mark is still asleep and Sebastian is bored to death. There are no kids shows on during the day. I don't know how many times i have to say this to them when they stay home sick or have school vacations. It is boring as hell around here.
So I went and tuned in PBS in my room for Sebastian to watch. Yeah it's mostly babyish type shows but hey, maybe he'll see the manomonot song that they are playing in the new Dr. pepper commercial on Sesame street. I doubt it but he wants to watch it and see if they do.
He can't believe they used a kid song in a commercial.
I loved that on Sesame Street.
Doot do do doo. Manomonot. Or however it's spelled.

Ok, need to get in the shower.
I sweat my ass off while sleeping last night cuz I'm too cheap to turn on the ac. well, I turned it on this morning cuz, well, it's hot today...lol

Ok, so I did the survey thing. Was about slim fast...lol
An hour long survey about a new product they have. Did we like the commercial yadda yadda. It was ok. But hey, it was for mega pointage so it was an hour well spent cuz I'll be getting a new movie soon. :)

Didn't do my dishes, only washed and dried the laundry, didn't fold it.
Didn't vac but did clean the bathroom.

Played a movie guessing game on line.
Ha! That was funny. It was the very 2nd to last clue before someone guessed it right. har har. They played a good game though. Lots of off the wall guesses.

Got one of my jewelery supply orders in and now waiting on another.

Made the boys the cookies I promised and that's about it.
Gonna sit down here in a bit and work on a piece or 2 that I had an idea for.

The kids are off to school, I started the laundry, have some dishes and some cleaning to do, a paid survey to sign into at 11am. I love doing those. It's just to earn points but it's a hecka lot of points that when all added up when I feel like it, I can cash them in for prizes and such. It's for Lightspeed.
They used to just pay straight up amazon gift certs but now they let you accumulate points to cash in for whatever prizes you want.
I think because this amount for this one session is so huge, I'll save my points up for one of the DVDs they have.
They have a whole list of awesome DVDS and yes, this one survey session is like just enough points to do that.
yay!
I usually opt for amazon gift certs but they have some movies I'd really like to own but would never buy for myself.
When I get paid this month from amazon, a whopping $60 in git certs, I have to get Sebastian a birthday present for his birthday in June and I promised my folks I'd get them some new film for their camera that sis got them for xmas.
Money all gone after those 2 purchases.

Did I tell you what happened the last time we went to the dentist back in February for their cleanings?
We got up at the ass crack of dawn, rode on the medi-bus with some people who wanted to hit me because I was listening to my walkman, waited for over an hour and then were told that the hygienist had quit.

Today.
We got up at the ass crack of dawn. Rode downtown on one bus then rode out to dentists on another bus. Waited 45 minutes and then they called me in to the back office to tell me the hygienist called out sick and I could go to Bradenton if I wanted.
Um, no car. took 2 buses to get here. That would take all day.
Sorry.

Waited 50 minutes to catch bus back downtown.
Had 45 minutes to wait for the bus home so we went shopping at whole foods. Got some super yummy, super fresh butcher meats.
Came home and ate lunch and passed out.
All 3 of us.

I am tired and hot but I'm not turning the money sucker on today. It's supposed to get cooler out tonight.

The boys are now mowing our lawn and I'm about to start dinner soon.

Just got back from the store. We needed a few things and I didn't feel up to cooking tonight. I'm tired and I need to rest up now for the trip to the docs tomorrow.
Well, it's the boys dentist appointment.
Finally.
They were supposed to be seen in February but the hygenist quit and so we had to reschedule until now.
Long wait for a dentist.

Why is that?
Why when you call any dentist anywhere in the country for check ups or cleanings, it takes them 3 months to get you in?
Do we need more dentists in this country or what?

We have pope.
I was watching it this afternoon.
I am not catholic so I have no emotions over it but I am rather bugged by his views on gays.
He considers homosexuality a genetic disorder.
Great huh?
Looking forward to what he's going to bring. Not.

I am very sick.
I have been on my couch or in my chair or in the bathroom.
I simply am too tired, too sick and too busy shitting to talk on the phone.
I am so sorry.
I have now lost 7 lbs in the past week and a half.

I am hoping that it goes away soon.
The boys have a doc appointment on Wednesday and if it's not gone by then, I will talk to the doc when I take them.

Please don't think I'm being rude by not talking on the phone.

Mark is playing his on line game that he loves so much he used his yard mowing money to buy a money order and buy a membership to it.
He's gonna have to do that like every two weeks.
Buy and mail just to stay a member. It's only $8 a month but man, it's just a game.
Who am I to say anything though?
I pay for my blog every year and stuff. *shrug*

Mark got renaissance today.
That means he got high grades and has maintained them all year.
He has like a 3.5 GPA.
That is so awesome!

He keeps getting letters from the high school too that he is going to next year. They want him in certain classes and those classes are "recruiting" by mail.
He hasn't decided yet but he needs to do that soon because all that paperwork has to be handed in by the end of next week.

He's off to check on his lawn job, see if they need it done this week.
Hey, $25 is $25 to a kid with a game to play.

Ok, this isn't my best savings ever but it's damn good.
I once saved $135 in store savings and coupons but coupons are not what they used to be. You can't double them at Publix and the Sunday newspaper here just doesn't do a whole lot of them and Publix doesn't take printed ones from the net due to fraud.

Advertised savings- $33.92
Advantage buy savings- $6.69
Coupons-$6.75
Total savings this morning-$47.36

That's awesome.
My kids hate it though cuz I spend 10 minutes in the cereal aisle looking for the absolute best buy but hey, money is money.
And! The store manager comes up to me while I was checking out and I had this new frozen food thing in my stuff and it had already been rung up and she took it out of the bag, voided it off my stuff and said "I am not letting you buy this. This is the most horrible stuff we have ever eaten."
I was like ok, thanks for saving me $5.
yay!

I can't even remember what it was. It was some family size frozen meal from Stouffers or something on sale so I figured what the hell, on my lazy or bad back day, frozen works for my family.

Other than my shopping trip this morning, I haven't done much else.
Started the laundry when I got back though so that counts toward getting stuff done right?

For those who need to know or are just curious how this all works out.

My welfare (yup, welfare) caseworker has known about jewelery biz, my blog and my ebay user name since last summer when I started on ebay and in the fall when I started making jewelery.

It works like this, if I make more than $300 per month, like say $301.00, it has to be reported and claimed. It actually makes zero affect on my case at all. It does not change any amounts of welfare received which is nothing at all people. If you think I'm living the high life down here collecting welfare, you are like so sorely mistaken.
I end up selling off my possessions to pay bills all the time, that's how little welfare is.

Yesterday after I got off the phone with the store owner, I called the IRS, yes, the IRS! Can you believe it?! Kat's following the law with this whole thing! What a shocker that she's not trying to scam anyone here eh?!
I got my new tax id number, my EIN. I am official.
It's going to take 2-4 weeks to get the paper version so NONE of my stuff can be sold at her store until we have the paper version.

I then got off the phone from IRS and called my caseworker. I told her my good news. She was elated for me. This may be just what I was hoping to do cuz welfare living sucks folks. She was very excited and told me as soon as I receive my first paycheck *squee* to call her and or bring it down so she can copy it.
If it's under $300 again, it has zero affect on my case, again.

This could take off right away or it could take months and months to build up enough revenue to be considered "taken off welfare".

I have always followed the rules people.
I know what I am doing. I would never commit fraud. I mean, how stupid would I be to go announcing this on the internet and not tell my caseworker!! Good grief! One would have to be pretty stupid don't ya think? My name is on here, people know my name, people do business with me, snail mail and all that jazz.
Do ya really think I'd be so stupid to not do all this on the up and up?

You can send nasty emails, you can post "reminder comments" for me to follow the law folks but I am so far ahead of you on this.

I appreciate your citizenly concern, I really do but I am not so stupid to go posting this kind of stuff if it hasn't already been made legal.

I just got off the phone with a woman who owns a store in North Port.
Her daughter who is a member of the message board I belong to, gave her my beading pages and she liked what she saw!
She would like to have me do a mix of cheaper end stuff and higher end sterling silver and gold pieces and maybe even mass produce a certain style of bracelet for holidays like my xmas bracelet.

This is totally exciting!
This is what I have been waiting for, the ability to sell in a store front and actually make some decent money!
I could like, call this my job people...lol

I placed an order early this morning for some high end findings and crystals etc and as soon as they arrive, I'm going to get started on making a mixture of both for her to see.

Keep your fingers crossed that she likes them and wants to work with me.
I'll just need to get a tax id number but that is easy and then we, I mean I, could be in business!
Woot!
And another woman on the message board with better describing abilities, (thanks Keri) has offered to re-write my descriptions for me.
How cool is this?!?

The boys are off to school, I started my laundry, feeling pretty good again today other than a pain in my neck today.

Got a funny kind of email.
Some guy emails and asks me to put his url for his credit repair stuff on my site. Gives me all kinds of keywords, urls, etc.
I wrote back and told him it's $40 a month to advertise on my blog.
Let's see if he does...lol
Some foreign name. Heh heh.

Need to get to the library or just renew them again because next Wednesday, the boys have dental appointments out at my dental/docs and the first bus stops downtown anyway.
Why make an extra trip by myself if I don't have to?
Yes, I'm lazy but in pain so there.

Still feeling creative so I'm going to make more pieces today after I get in a shower.

Can you feel it?
Do you feel my happiness returning?
Can you just sense how much happier I am these days?
Sure, I'm not posting as much but that's because my stress is gone and I can do all the things I was too stressed out to do before so I sat and posted all day long and I was usually ticked off when I did it.

Sebastian just rode his bike up the street to Petes corner store. Yup, Pete is still in business for now. No one has bought the property yet. probably cuz there are no gas pumps anymore.
But anyway, Pete said I could sell some of my jewelery there so I sat and picked out some of the "cheaper" plastic pieces and sent Sebastian up there with them.
Make $1.50-$2.00 each is cool with me.
He gets tons of little girl and teen girl traffic so we'll start with the smaller stuff first and if it sells, I'll buy myself a jewelery tree and display some slightly higher priced stuff.
Pete gets a cut of each one and that is cool with me.
Sebastian is also gone up to the apt. complex to post my babysitting signs for me.

Yup, I plan on babysitting instead of having another roommate for awhile.
There are about 200 kids up there and with summer coming, I could watch 3 kids and be able to pay my rent and bills and because they live there, we could all use the pool everyday.
That would be sweet!

So that's what I've been up to this afternoon.

I went back to bed after I posted this morning and just woke up around noon.
I will do all the stuff I said I was gonna do, just needed a break from stuff.

Tomorrow I have to go out and take my stuff back to the library.
I was able to renew them on line so I didn't have to pay anything but it's time they go back.

The boys will be home in about an hour and then we have homework to do I'm sure and stuff like that.

Need to mop and do the bathroom and start washing the walls in the extra bedroom again.
Got the smell out, need to wash those walls, windows, clean the floors, get all the nails and tacks and screws out so I can paint it at some point.
I want to do a blue color in there. I think it would look nice with the beige carpeting and also warm it up a bit.
A light sky blue would be cool.
I need to fix that fan too.
Not all today mind you, but these are things I want to get done. :)

I am doing great!
I'm tired but doing great.
We had an awesome time at Myakka state park today. We gave Vicki, a friend of my sisters, a surprise birthday party.
It was her birthday almost 2 weeks ago so she thought everyone forgot.
Sneaky huh?
She had a great time. Lots of food, friends, kids, gators.
Good morning.

At around 3, we are gonna head over and babysit so sis can go to a going away party for her friend Kat who is moving out of state.

In site news, Sol, installed the close comment script for me!
Yay! No more comment mod or registration for anyone. I just have to click a link every night and bam, the old comments close off.

How you all doing today?
Me? Oh, I'm great!
Slept good, had a good time babysitting last night. I chased Susan all over the house on my hands and knees and then tickled her. She loves that so much. She squeals when you catch her and laughs so much.
I let her catch me a few times too. She tries to tickle but she just doesn't really know how yet.
Yes I am so paying for it today, my hips are throbbing, but it was worth it to see her have such a good time.
She's just so cute!

I had to clean out 194 spams this morning...lmao

I slept great last night. Fully rested, woke up good, ahh.
Sebastian is off on a field trip today and Mark isn't feeling well.
So I may let him stay home.
His stomach has been bothering him for days.
We shall see.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have read in days.
He's a puppet. He's been eating cookies since I was a baby. And again, it's a puppet.
I understand the whole eat healthier thing and go ahead and have talking eggplants and stuff like that but damn, give the veggies to the other puppets.
He's a cookie monster for gods sakes not a carrot monster.

It was so nice to just relax and not stress about anything.
Then I got up and went in that room to examine the damage.
Holy fucking shit.
There is seriously like 3 inches of dust covering the walls and window sills and filth everywhere.

There are holes from nails and tacks all over every single wall, paint missing from sections of the walls, pieces of tiny bits of paper and glass shards in the carpet.
There is a strange smell emanating from there too.
So the boys and I set too work washing all the walls down and vacing the rugs which will obviously have to be shampooed. There are huge stains everywhere on it.
I am going to have to buy paint and spackle and fix all that damage.
What the fuck people?
Was I supposed to clean her room too?
I cannot believe the amount of dust like slime on the windows. I don't even know what the hell that shit is. It's slimy and sticky and all over the window sashes and windows.
Gross.

It's going to be quite the project.
I'll have to take it one little project at a time though
We washed the walls so my first task will be to spackle the holes and then primer paint and then paint and then shampoo the rugs.
Not to mention the ceiling fan which she constantly bitched about and took apart because she would whack it and then wonder why it made a grinding noise.
I fixed it so many times and finally just said fuck it and took the blade off that she whined about.

Oh well.
Never again people. Never, ever again. I will sell my soul before I do the room mate bullshit again.
I have a plan and it should work. I just need to get the boys to help me finish part of it.

Ok, off to answer a gazillion emails. I promise, I'm gonna get to you.

I have been busy this morning taking care of things around my house. A few minor adjustments to some things.

Ate, played on line, started a load of laundry, took a shower etc.

Now I'm just gonna hang out and play the wait and see game.
Wait and see what today brings before I can begin my life again without toxic people.

I swear to you, I am not the same person I was last year at this time. I was broke and struggling but I was happy and mentally sound.
I now question almost everything. I doubt people. I trust no one.
I see ulterior motives in almost anything anyone says, does, asks of me.

I still do things mind you but I question every second of it.
I doubt the validity of peoples claims of poverty and helplessness.
I mean, c'mon, I am broker than shit but I have always found a way to get things paid and done and I am so forever greatful for all the help people gave me. I couldn't begin thank people enough.
I am still that way. I thank people so much for the littlest things and acts of kindness.
I am far from helpless. I have learned over the course of my lifetime to do things for myself.
I can fix almost anything.
I had a dad who taught us how to use tools and how to fix shit and I took shop class in middle and high school as well as home ec.
I can survive for a months worth of food for 3 people on $100. I can stretch a dollar. I can save money like nobodies business.
I pay my bills on time. Granted I have had some help getting them there on time but the bill money in exchange for super fast payments, is priority mailed within 24 hours or less of the help.

I cannot imagine going through life being utterly helpless and clueless.
I cannot imagine not knowing how to use basic tools such as hammers and screwdrivers. I cannot imagine not knowing how to clean or cook or fix things around my home.
I do all the fixing that needs to be done here. I only call the landman for the big shit like when the AC got hit by lightning last year. Or when the house kept flooding.
I fix everything else. I fixed my dryer with a piece of string and some wire cutters when it stopped working.
I am capable and that my friends is key.

Tonight for the first time in months, I may actually get a good nights sleep.
Tomorrow will be a new day with no toxic people in it.
And that will be beautiful.

I decided that the whole day was not going to be a complete wash.
So I sat down and made a really beautiful, pink, purple, green and silver bracelet. It is gorgeous! I'm wearing it right now until I feel like scanning it. I may make a few more and put them all up for sale at the same time.
I did my dishes, my laundry that was still in the dryer, I answered every single email I had been avoiding for a few days, I talked with my sister, I coated my nails again. They are getting so long and just a month ago, I had cut them all off.
I must be eating something right for them to be growing this much this fast. It's a clinkety clink when I type. They are rock solid too.
I went and got the mail and holy mother of god! hallelujah! My new eyeballs showed up! yay!
I went and plopped those babies in and ahh, to see crystal clear again is just sch a wonderful thing.

I still need to go to the post office, never made it out this morning between incoming calls and outgoing calls I had to do but I am hoping that roomies plans to do what she said she was going to do are still on and I can still get to the post office before they close.
She is supposed to be moving some of her things out today with help from some of her friends. I insisted on being here when this is done because slap me with a big fish, I don't want my shit stolen.
And yes, I have every right to have that concern. They were supposed to start at 11am and oh look, here it is 12:30 something and uh, no one is here to move anything, she is still sleeping and nothing is getting done.
Thank goodness I don't have a job and didn't have to take time off of work for this crap or I'd be really fucking pissed right about now.

I need to hit the store, hoping sis has to go tonight cuz my back is still a bit fried and un-cooperative today. I need to grab some burger buns, some oven cleaner and some stove top stuffing.
I also needed to go to the library but with these moving plans, my rentals are going to be late. Great. $1.00 per day for each one so let's see, that's $4.00 wasted today. Yippeee!! And she is supposed to do this again tomorrow too so yay! Another $4.00! Woo hoo!!

Ok, so time for me to go be productive again. I hate wasting time.

They cheerfully got up and ready to go to school with no complaining at all!

Things I accomplished today:
Paid my bills. Well, I paid them last night by the web because my body is just hurting too much today after yesterdays full housecleaning rampage at my sisters house so I could earn money to get Mark both pairs of shoes he needed.

Called FPL (bastards) and explained my serious web paying fuck up and they assured me that no harm will come to me because I caught it right away and I called them right away and so we were able to fix the error.
*phew* That woulda sucked.
Note to all people who pay on the web; make sure you read very, very carefully the instructions before you click the make payment button. Big bad shit can happen if you don't.
I nearly peed when I realized what I had done but it's all better now.

Home life. Got a few things resolved. I can breath a little easier this afternoon.
Made a plan that I hope works to take care of things that need to be taken care of.
I just hope it works now.

Walked all the way to post office. Bought the money order, planned on priority mailing the thing and shit, .85 cents short.
Why? Cuz I cleaned out my frigging wallet last night and dumped all my change in my jar.
Smooth move Kat. Very smooth.
Now I get to walk all the way back in the morning.
Yes I know they are still open until 5pm but I simply can't do that walk twice in one day.
Not anymore anyway. A year ago when I was a mad seller on Ebay, I made that trip of 12 blocks 3 times a day if I needed to so I could get shit out right away and keep my good standing stars...lol
Now, I walk halfway, stop and rub that damn left knee that has swollen up and turned purple.

Called sis, did two loads of laundry. Need to fold the last load now.

Anyone know how to get years of built up, burnt on cruddy shit off of cast iron?
I have two (ah ah ah) cast iron pans that uh I *almost* sold for a buck because I'm a dumb ass on occasion and didn't realize what I had in my possession.
Aside from building a raging fire and burning it off I mean. I did cook 'em for an hour in the oven at 500 degrees and some of it chipped off but most f it, just stuck there still. I tried steel wool, I tried copper wool and comet. I do not want to have to throw 'em on a grill.
I hate fire. No wait. I don't hate fire. I hate gas grills. I'm always afraid the thing is gonna blow up.

Ok, off to have further correspondence with someone I got off on the wrong foot with this morning.
You know how that is.
You say something, they something that strikes you as asshole-ish, you get pissed and call them asshole, they call you a baby, you call them a dink, they tell you to grow a spine, you laugh at how ironic that was because yes! You do need a spine in a physical sense and oh, wouldn't it be so fun and so much easier than the hell you are soon going to face?!

The boys are off to school and I'm trying to wake up.
I have so much stress right now it's a wonder I haven't had a heart attack.

Skye and I are hanging out and stuff. Sis is paying me to clean her house for her. She works so much, she just never has time to keep up so while the baby sleeps or plays on her mat or bouncy seat, I do a little cleaning.

Ate my lunch a little early cuz I was starving and now just taking a quick little break so my back doesn't decide to lock up on me later.

It's Monday and the kids are back at school!
It was a long vacation man. They nearly ate everything in sight but we had a good time.
Got everything done we wanted to except that trip to wal*mart which I'm glad we didn't do because Mark and George went to get Marks suit for the wedding yesterday and I now need to get him a pair of black dress shoes and a black dress belt.
George bought Mark the whole suit.
They went everywhere like Burdines, Pennys, Sears and a few actual tux places and couldn't get anyone to help them. They were gone from 11:30 until 4:30. No service at any of the higher end stores at all.
Then they went to Burlington coat factory and had two male service reps help find the right suit, the right size (just need to hem the cuffs on the legs a little bit) all for under $50 it looks like.
Yay Burlington coat factory!!
He tried it on for us when he got home and man, my boy is so handsome in a suit.
Sebastian laughed of course but wow, he looks so good all dressed up.
It's going to be such a nice wedding. Now to attempt to find something for me to wear. This should be hard. I hate my body so much right now. Clothes do not "hang" right so I look lopsided.

Off to babysit for sis today in a little bit here.
The boys are going to come up there after school lets out.

I have a few concerns at home today but let's just hope that my suspicions are wrong and nothing foul happens while I'm gone.
I will be one pissed off mama if it does.

Cooking some lunch for me and Sebastian.
Mark is out with George getting fitted for his tux for Georges wedding.
Mark is the ring bearer. He gets to wear a tux and carry a box with the rings.
Gonna try and clean off some pans and then get some rest.
Trying to watch The Hours again.
I didn't get to watch it the other night because I was on the phone for like an hour so I missed all the important stuff.

Change your clocks froward and all that jazz.
The time change doesn't bother me at all.
I don' know why it bothers so many people.
After all these years of springing and falling, you'd think people would just be used to it and say ok, at least it happens on a Sunday where I can be lazy and all that.
It's been happening for so many years, just go with the flow.
Much easier than stressing over a single hour.

Going to the store this morning. Need to get my pain script meds and then the grocer store for milk and cheese and small stuff.

Sebastian is grounded for a long time for the following rule infractions;
1) Went up to play with kids at the apartment complex with no shoes after I specifically told him to put his shoes on.
2) Took all his yard sale earnings, $21 some odd dollars to the corner store after I specifically told him to leave it here, and spent it on beef jerky and candy bars and soda for all the kids he was playing with. Nice gesture? Yes. Rule breaker? Definitely.
3) Was told to be home before dark. Mark and I had to go up there and hunt for him just a mere 10 minutes ago.

It went really well.
I made $73 and the boys made $45 on their toys and stuff.
It was fun.
We had just buckets of laughs all day.
Usually, we are all so busy with our various hobbies and stuff that we don't talk like we did today.
Today was fun...lol

Then we came in and saw that the Pope died.
How very sad and I'm not even catholic.

The weather cleared up real nice, it's gorgeous outside.

The boys are bored as hell sitting out here with me and the following conversation just took place.
Sebastian: Mom, we're bored and we haven't made any money. You made it all.

Mark: Yeah, she gives us hugs.

Made about $50 so far. Sold the tv and my leather jacket and a whole bunch of trinkety stuff so far.
Some movies etc.
My asking price is super low cuz just want all this stuff gone.

I have tried laying down several times and just can't fall asleep.

I have one of those annoying tension headaches where your neck and shoulders hurt.
I hate those Excedrin commercials for it because they practically look right up the peoples nostrils.

We finished the boys room and have so much stuff to get rid of.
My neighbor across the street is having a yard sale today. I almost put my stuff out to take advantage of his yard sale traffic but decided I'd rather have a lovely lazy day.

I have to go babysit for a few hours tonight.

I have $$$ on the brain. I will babysit, clean, whatever (Ok, not whatever really) but will work and sell stuff to make some cash.

Is it really quiet around the web today or are people just busy enjoying the spring like weather and stuff?

I may have an answer to when she's moving out by Sunday and then I can start looking for a new roommate.
I appreciate her telling me how fast she is planning to go because this is exactly what I thought was going to happen.
A fast move with very short notice.
But she promises to pay Aprils rent so at least I'll have 30 days to find someone new.

The boys are cleaning their room and getting rid of things to sell so they can make a bit of cash too.
They have lots of stuff to get rid of. Man was that room full of toys and games they never played.

I have my house to clean up once they are finished and some phone calls to make.

I need to figure out how to get some new contacts too. Mine are about 2-3 years old and very worn out and blurry. I changed them about 4 times yesterday and did thorough cleanings and still blurry as a foggy day in England.
I need to look into how I'm gonna do that.
