Mark is up and gone again.
Just 4 days this week and he is dragging his feet. I should get his supply list today and I am not happy about it at all.
He has to have a calculator that cost $100!
WTF? Is this like a computer or something? Cripes.
I have about 3 weeks to get their school supplies and everything together.
They start August 2nd. That is just far too soon man. I'm just not ready yet.
I have things to do off and on today so I'll be back and forth when I take little breaks from my to do list.

Wow, that IS early! Around here, they start around Labor Day. I think this year, they got out at the end of June, probably from all those snow days we had this year. They have to be made up.
$100 for a calucator? That's insane! I can see needing one with algebra and scientific functions, but I don't see how a kid that age needs anything much more complicated than that. Mike has a scientific calculator, and I think it only cost something like $25.
What do they do when people can't afford the $100?

I don't know. I may end up just getting him one like Mikes and going to the school and explaining that I can't afford that. That is an insane amount of money on top of all the clothes and supplies I already have to get. I am not a happy mom. :(

Hey Kat, when you find out what kind of calculator, let me know. I have a brand new one (from my college calculus class) that the instructor insited that i HAD to buy and we barely used. I decided after that class that accounting wasn't for me....Maybe we can work out a jewelry trade or something. But, if it's the same kind I'm happy to help!
