That was so cool!
About a week ago, just for giggles, I logged into Classmates.com to see if anyone I hated and went to school with, had signed up.
I had a message.
It was from my best friend all through high school, Tamra.
She put her email address in the message and so I emailed her.
We sent each other pictures of our kids, she has 4, 3 boys and a girl, and just basic chit chat about our lives for the last 15 years.
Yes, it's been that long since I've talked to her.
In her last email she sent me this morning, she asked for my phone number to call me sometime.
So I was sitting here goofing off on line and the phone rings.
Sebastian answers and says, "mom, it's someone named Tammy."
I almost choked on my diet coke.
We talked for over an hour. Picked up right where we left off all those years ago.
It's like we never spent all these years apart.
Talked about our old school and people we knew and our kids and stuff.
Mom and Ralph live down here in Clearwater now, (our friend Pam's parents who were more like parents to Tam than her own) and that is so close to me! I could go see them.
They finally got married after all these years. That's so cute...lmao
They never minded all us giggly school girls hanging out all the time playing loud music and playing games like mortician and doing our hair and stuff.
That was so awesome to talk to her.
She said she and her husband are going to try and come down here in a year or two to see mom and Ralph and come to see me as well.
Our oldest boys are almost the same age and we would all be able to do the theme parks and stuff together by then.
Yay!
She lives up in Ogden Utah now.
Ok, time to go fetch the pizza out of the oven and get these guys settled down and calm before bed time tonight.
They have school tomorrow and I have a few errands to run so rest all around is needed.
Later days.

That's too cool. I spent too many years trying to lose most of my graduating class, and those I was closest to, we're still close. There are a few that I would like to see what they're doing these days though.

Aww that's nice Kat! I'm still in college, and I have this best friend since high school who attends the same university as I do (we're friends for 10 years now), and we're the only ones in touch right now. We do have that e-groups thingie for our batch, but we rarely get/send emails from others.

Oh wow! The internet is such a great way to reconnect with people. Tammy sounds so cool!

You know, the same thing happened to me a few days ago. A school friend of mine that I hadn't seen since '98 contacted me through classmates. She called me quite unexpectedly the next day, after googling my phone number :) It's great to reconnect, huh? Thank goodness for this amazing technology!

How cool is that? And, you both have boys about the same age! It's nice to catch up with old friends, isn't it?
:)
