I was flipping through the channels and I stopped on Way of the Master because it fascinates me how Kirk and his buddy ambush people on the streets and airplanes and stuff and "speak" to their conscience about the 10 commandments.
They avoid the subject of evolution like the plague.
Just for giggles, I'd love to see them ambush an atheist and actually air it.
I'm sure they do find those people when they do these things and I'm positive they don't air them.
I'm positive when they encounter someone who is strong in their beliefs that there is no god, they probably say thanks for your time and run away as fast as possible because if you've ever watched this show, they never, ever air those people.
They avoid intellects, they avoid talking about evolution and Kirk just proved that when he said the above quote.

So, I guess since he will never find a lucrative job like "Growing Pains", he decided to "find God" and ambush people. Pathetic.

Make sure you see THE WAY OF THE MASTER's web site where you can download past programs. They do speak to atheists but its the usual ambush tactics. You have the Christian debaters who are used to this form of attack and the atheists who aren't used to defending what they know to be true get sort of tripped up by it. Of course they have the freedom to edit out when they get taken to the wood shed. Its constructive to watch these programs to prepare for these types of attacks. Also watch their program on evolution, its hilarious. The monkey they take to dinner and claim is proof there is no evolution has better manners than my 2yrs. old. Another tactic they use repeatedly is the "are you a good person" question. When they get to you're an admitted liar and do their shpeal (sp?). One should ask them if they've ever lied and if they say "yes" (and they will), then you can say, "you're an admited liar, why should I believe anything you say about God?"

Oh.My.God. I cannot believe Kirk Cameron is part of that website. I am in agreement with you on many of your religious ideas... I think if there's a god, and I have lived a righteous life even though I didn't believe in him, and there are believers who have committed heinous acts but then ask for forgiveness because they "believe"... if there is a heaven, and those people go and I don't... then frankly, I don't think I'd really want to go there anyway. Know what I mean?
