Yay and nay.
Sebastian had a great first day at school but I knew that he would. He loves school.
Mark, not so much.
They sent him home with a backpack that would strain a horse and 10 lists of supplies to get. Not 7 like we had thought. 10.
I hate them.
I have a million forms to fill out and sign and supply lists to tackle
and dinner to make.

We'd already been school shopping from the lists they give out before school starts and both boys came home needing more stuff!
And the stuff that they did take to school today? Got stuck in a filing cabinet by the teacher to share with the classroom.
Dammit, I'm not stingy but why can't my kid keep his own pencils?

This is why I send Sebastian to school with two pencils and 2 pens. I make him hand over the printer paper and crap like that but I make sure he keeps his markers and crayons/colored pencils etc. I didn't buy them for the teacher to use.
