My Single Mom Life: Advertisers on my site.

« It's another blah de blah kinda day. | Main | 9 months post op today »

Advertisers on my site.

Some of you may have noticed an ad that takes over my page.
It's not spyware.
It is an ad that I get paid to run, it's called an interstitial ad. It will only run once per click, per person, per day. If you visit my page again today, it will not run again.
I have a lot of paid advertisers and I don't mind the interstitials.

I love my advertisers. They help pay my bills for my net service and a few other extras like the teens Runescape account etc.
I apologize if the ad made anyone worry that they had spyware on their computer, or that my site contained spyware and was dumping it onto your computer.

I don't know which ad is the interstitial, and I come here 2-3 times a day. Nothing ever popped up at me to make me wonder.

It takes over the whole page, ultimate jobs.com or something like that. It generally only appears once per day per person.

Kinda figured it was one of the ads, but I thought it was one going crazy...Glad to know it is a legit thing. ;)

HEY! I meant to ask you: Isn't Runescape that online game that made your boys insane? If so, I thought you took it away from them forever! (I'm so fucking nosy, eh? But at least I've never been a pain in the ass like that guy who reads you and tells you what a terrible parent you are...)

I have often clicked on your ads, but lately, more of them are for US customers only. One ad I checked out long time ago was Loose Tea. It led to a site full of beautiful, decorative teas and accessories. I showed it to Annette, even. Goes to show that even a text ad can work (if the reader is of an inquisitive nature, as I am). I have since found those teas -- which I didn't even know existed before seeing that ad -- in specialty shops.

Also: God knows if I ever remembered to tell you that you were supposed to get 500 credits from BlogHer because I signed up. Just mentioning it.

I don't see the ad and I come her once a day, usually.

A teenager in Asia went blind after playing too much of that online game you were talking about, I'm not kidding it was in an article in a mag from here(Montreal).
