That was me this morning after I dropped them off. Then I was lonely all day without them here ;)

Oh, I'll totally miss them a few hours after they leave but man, I swear they had the longest school vacation ever. They were out from the 15th of December until January 3rd. That's a mega long winter break. LOL

There used to be a Staples commercial that I loved, and you reminded me of it. I don't know if they have Staples everywhere, but it's one of those office supply megamarts.
They used to air it at the end of the summer, when all of the parents were into buying back-to-school stuff for the kids. It had this guy pushing a cart in Staples, dancing in the aisles with happiness. Trudging behind him were his two kids, a boy and a girl, who looked as if they were being led to the elctric chair or something.
The guy was torturing the kids by plucking school supplies off the shelves, waving them in the kids' faces, and tossing the stuff into his cart.
The funniest part was that in the background, they were playing Andy Williams singing "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", with a voice-over that said, "They're GOING BAAAAACK!"
You love your kids, but they can drive you nuts when they are unoccupied, I know. I don't have kids, but I have a husband, and it's often the same with grown men. When Mike was sick over the summer, and took short-term disability after he got out of the hospital, it was nice for a while to have him home. But eventually, enough was enough, he was driving me insane, and I was SO GLAD when he was finally allowed to go back to work.
Enjoy your peace and quiet once they go back!

We have that commercial here as well. Always makes me laugh my ass off. LOL
I do love them but I am ready for them to go back. They drove each other and myself absolutely crazy for the last few days. Too long of a vacation in my opinion.
