Wells urged the public to keep on look out for an older model red pickup the kidnapper was last seen driving and to report any suspicious activities.

“My best guess tells me we are dealing with somebody who is familiar with this area,’’ he said.

The man who allegedly abducted Clay may have tried to go after children in his neighborhood before, says a witness to this morning’s incident.

Rabah Jaffal, a 14-year-old seventh grader at Lincoln Middle School who shares a bus stop with Clay, says he’s seen this truck before in the neighborhood and believes it is the same truck that chased his sister a month or two ago.

He says his sister and friends were playing a game called “manhunt” when this man came up in the truck and chased them."

The suspect is an older man with a tan or dark complexion, driving a red or maroon older model Ford Ranger pickup. People in the area are asked to continue looking for it and reporting anything matching the descriptions of either the man or the truck, to police.
