Do you hear the words that are coming out of my mouth?
I sometimes wonder if people really hear themselves when they are speaking to others.
I know I can be a bit on the snarky side sometimes. My facial expressions actually say more than I do, but I've noticed some people who may not even realize how they come across to others.
If two or more people, all get the same impression from the way you speak, can you possibly be wrong about the intent of what you just said?
It amazes me sometimes that people will say, 'oh I didn't mean it that way', but everyone who heard it, all got the same idea from them.
Just something that crossed my mind just now. I think of weird stuff like this a lot.
I'm not so sure people really hear the words that are coming out of their own mouths.

My facial expressions are a dead giveaway, unfortunately. The snark is just so there, always has been. I'd make a lousy poker player.

That constantly crosses my mind, but in a different way. I am always upset over people not liking me, but usually when there are problems, the 'problem' is the common denominator...usually me. I try hard to change the things that may be putting people off, but I swear sometimes I can't really figure out where I am going wrong, and wonder if I haven't just tried to socialize with the wrong people once more.
But yeah....more in regards to what you were saying, my facial expressions give me away every time. It's why I am sometimes frightened to work in retail, especially when folks get on my last nerve. It's hard to hide my irritation. And that's assuming I actually do hide it. Who knows?
