Goodies in boxes!
I stepped outside to get my mail a few minutes ago, and found 2 big boxes sitting on the chair.
They were from Christine.
In one of the boxes was the entire set of Twin Peaks from season one. I loved that show when it was on.
It was just so abnormally devilish, weird, strange. Right up my alley.
Great, great show.
She's letting me borrow them all because the show is no longer on, and I love it as much as she does.
And also, Twin Peaks the pilot episode which is uncut. The one that aired on tv was cut to pieces because of it's content. The show was well ahead of it's time, and some of the content of the show was far too graphic for tv back then, plus the uncut pilot contained information the shows producers and director, didn't want publicly known till much later in the series.
They wanted to keep people guessing.
In the other box for us to keep, was Shrek 1, The Marx Brothers, A night at the Opera, and also the Marx brothers, Cocoanuts.
The boys will love those. They love silly movies so much.
So thank you Christine! I know the boys will love the movies and I will watch the Twin Peaks and send them back to you.
I can hardly wait to start watching them.
And I love the handmade card as well. It's so pretty.

I loooooooooved Twin Peaks too! Too bad they aren't showing in reruns or anything. Awesome show. HBO's Carnivale was odd like that too and of course that's no longer on. Grrrrr! The few shows I really like always get the axe.

I love love love Twin Peaks. At one time I had the series on VHS, but someone stole it! :( I wish they would hurry and put the whole series on DVD now

I loved the Twin Peaks theme music... still do. But diehard fan that I was, Lynch managed to frustrate me (much as the creators of Lost do today to their viewers) with the endless and increasingly weird, senseless plot twists. Alas. It was good while it was good.
