Who's right? Kat's right!

I have spent pretty much the whole morning dealing with Verizon.
Again.
Every month for the last 4 months, they have not billed my credit card for my DSL like they are supposed to.
Every time I call them about it, they tell me I have to go online to the DSL website, log in, and update my CC info.
I tell them I have, I even do it while on the phone with them.
I tell them the same thing the site says to me,
"We're sorry, this tool is unavailable."
They give me the same story, that I must not be signed in correctly, please use this name and password, blah blah blah, I do, and get the exact same error message.
"We're sorry, this tool is unavailable."

Then they all say the same thing, "Hrm, that's weird."
Yeah, no shit buddy.
I do this every month, try to fix it, can't fix it, call you, try to fix it with you, and still no dice.
What this tells me is that your website is fux0red. That your auto-billing is obviously fux0red.

I give them my CC number and they can bill it right over the phone. It goes through but not without charging me a few extra dollars first.
I've now been charged $3 extra dollars this month because their site and computers for billing are messed up.
They assure me those extra bucks will be refunded to my card.
I don't care about that, just fix this damn billing problem.
I'm tired of getting emails and snail mail every month telling me I didn't pay my bill.
I did pay my bill. Automatically and your system is busted.
I really hate Verizon.
If there was another company in this area for phone and DSL, I'd be on it.
Don't even say cable.
My area is restricted. I can't choose Brighthouse here even though 10 streets over, they can. I have to deal with the evil Comcast who charges over $180 a month for phone and net service, because you have to buy cable with them at the same time. They won't just let you do a light package of phone and internet like Brighthouse does.
We're all restricted to Verizon for phone service to.
I'd like to know who is responsible for the city line restrictions on these things, it's asinine.
People should be able to go with whatever companies they want.

Not having a choice when it comes to who you can and can't use for certain services sucks! I remember when we first moved to on base housing we had to use dial-up internet because they didn't offer cable or dsl yet and OMFG was it slow since the phone lines were old and outdated. Here we use Comcast for everything...tv, phone and internet and yea you're right...it's pricey but eh for the most part we like it. Yep, had to deal with Verizon in VA...always a hassle. Hope they get your stuff and their billing straight!

This is why I won't do auto-billing with them. I have it so that I can make one-time payments. I had tried going paperless, but they fucked up too many times, and now I started getting paper bills again, so I can always either write a check and mail it, or go to a payment center.

My annoyance with their site is that half the time, it won't let me access my account. It sucks.

But like you, Verizon is my only choice for DSL. There are other phone services, but for internet, not much choice. I, too, refuse to do business with the evil Comcast. That's why we don't have cable...because I really hate Comcast.

I was on dial-up for years before we finally got any DSL at all here. No way would I go back to dial-up now, so I'm stuck with Verizon, too.

At least I don't have to use them for my cell phone. Verizon Wireless sucks, too.

Verizon...don't get me started, I haven't been able to use my regular email since we moved becaused they cancelled it instead of transferring it... now what should have been easy to rectify has been taking over 4 months. I still get messages left on my phone by verizon telling me that they are still working on the problem... good thing my business wasn't linked to them or I would be pissed.

Comcast makes people pay for cable, TOO? Surely that's not even legal??

Not having good service is the pitts! My daughter lives 1 mile away, she has DSL with Bell South but it is not available for me. Makes no sense to me.
