Said the alligator king to his 7 sons.

Chickie reminded me of the old classic from Sesame Street, about numbers and such. She had a link to the ladybugs picnic, which is truly a classic.
One of my favorites of all time, is the Alligator king.
I loved it when I was a kid, love it now.

Do you have a fave number cartoon or song from Sesame Street?
If so, what is it?
Find a link to it and leave it in my comments for me to check out when I get home later today.
Off to eat some tasty BBQ!
Later days!

I loved the Alligator King song too. There was some song on Sesame Street about a bunch of bears in a bed and the smallest one kept singing "roll over - I'm crowded" til he was all alone in the bed. I still sing that one.

Um, no. *she says quietly, hoping they won't realize it's because Sesame Street wasn't even born yet when I was little*

"1,2,34,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 Ladybugs sing at the ladybug picnic..."

I used to love that one! I guess the number that day was "12".

O.K....I just watched the You Tube and apparently they didn't sing afterall.

Well, that's how I fuckin' remember it!

I loved those. Two others I remember and loved were "I Love Trash" by Oscar the Grouch" and “Mahnamah”.

Posted both on my blog:

Ooops, not about numbers!

"Ma-na-ma-na Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo, ma-na-ma-na Doo Doo Doo Doo

Ma-na-ma-na Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo"

Did that make sense?
