Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.) is an acknowledged atheist.
He is the first Congress member in history to acknowledge his nontheism.
That is awesome.
He has been serving for 33 years, is elected till 2009.

It looks like he's actually a decent, caring, moral guy. Looks like he's done some good things while he's been serving.

He sure beats the hell out of any of those Bible-thumping politicians that seem to populate our gub'mint now...none of which have likely ever READ the Bible from cover to cover.
He's a million times more honest than most, that's for sure!
