My Single Mom Life: Well that was fun. Not.

Well that was fun. Not.

I swear, every asshat on the planet was grocery shopping just now.
I stood in line at the deli for like 10 minutes. This older woman was ahead of me, looking at everything, had a list.
They call her number and she giggles, "Oh, I don't know what I want."
Are you freaking kidding me?!
We've been standing here for 10 freaking minutes! You have a list! You've been looking at the case for 10 freaking minutes!
How in the hell can you not know what you need after 10 minutes of staring at the meats!?!
I threw my number in the basket and walked off.
Bought some prepackaged meats.
Hate. Hate. Hate, stupid people.

How about NOT taking a floopin' number UNTIL they know what they want?

When I worked at the cafe in downtown Boston, I used to be a real bitch about this. At this place, people had to stand in line and give their order to me, then pay and wait to be called. It would get really busy at lunchtime, and people would be standing in line for at least ten minutes, waiting to order. The menu was up on the wall, really big, so anyone could see it.

But there's always be some dumbass who'd STILL not know what they wanted when it came their turn. If they didn't order within the next 30 seconds, I'd just motion to the person behind them, and say "next?"

The indecisive person would almost always complain, but hey...snooze, you lose, pal. Next time, decide what you want BEFORE holding up the line!

I used to do the same thng with people who were on cell phones while in line, and ignored me when it was their turn to order.

I used to do the same thing at a deli restaurant i worked at. If you didn't know, I didn't serve you.

LMAO! You and your shopping expeditions and the bluehairs. They kill me.

did you say that to her?
after 7 years in retail where i had to bite my tongue and smile, now i tell people off for being stupid or treating their cashier like a bitch.
