My Single Mom Life

I'm wiped out and it's only 6pm.
I had a wicked start to my day, then it just went by too fast and I had all kinds of household stuff to do, dishes, laundry, vac, then dinner.
I cheated on dinner.
I let the boys go buy subs for dinner and mine is sitting in the fridge because I still have more stuff to do.

I'm helping a friend out, teaching her how to use a computer, how to blog etc. It's something she wants to do, she has a lot to write and her life is so complicated, she needs to write it all down cuz it's frustrating.
But anyway, she has the dreaded Comcast for phone/net/cable, and she had a problem with her net service, so the guy came over to fix her modem and stuff. But while he was doing that, he un-installed a bunch of her programs that I put on there and taught her how to use over a period of weeks, to help her be able to use her pc better.
This is a brand new pc/internet user, she basically knows nothing, older woman.
He took all that stuff away, and added programs he likes!
The rotten fuck cable tech, deleted a customers programs, and installed his own. Can you believe that crap?!
Well, the ones he installed started creating problems on her pc, I had taught her how to use stuff, he took it away, so when problems happened, she had no idea what to do and became very frustrated very quickly.
I spent about an hour this afternoon, undoing the damage he did to her computer.
Not only did he take away her programs, but he changed her home page, deleted her bookmarks, and added some sort of virus scanner that blocked Firefox completely.
She had no idea how to get back on the net or fix any of this stuff. I installed FF for her because IE is the devil, so she didn't want to use that to check her emails. When I was trying to fix it, I found that his stuff, actually bocked IE too.
Grrr.
Now, my tin foil hat is securely in place and I'm sure most of you will think I'm crazy, but hear me out.
Comcast charges customers a fee if they have to come into your home to repair your cable or modem.
They have been in her house 4 times now, and each time after they leave, some part of her pc no longer works correctly and new programs are installed.
This fee is $150.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
They know this woman has no clue about computers, and this fee gets added to their bill, they charge that fee + a per hour fee for however long the tech is in your home.
He's never been shorter "fixing" it, than 2 hours.
I am honestly starting to think they keep fucking with her pc so they have to come back and "fix" it again.
This last time he was here last Tuesday, the fee + the techs per hour rates added in, was over $300.
Yeah. I really think they are doing this on purpose.
Next time I see that Comcast truck in her driveway, I'm going over and watching what he does and then I'm gonna tell him to fix the modem only. If I catch him removing her programs and adding his own, I'm gonna call Comcast and bitch them out.
