He kind of changed his mind.
Mark still wants his hair cut, just not today. I told him I was holding him to his word, that it's getting cut this week. He said he is still going to get it done, but he'd like to finish out the school week like this.
He said if he gets it cut today, he will have 3 more days of school to deal with people staring at his new cut.
He wants to get it cut Friday after school, and have the weekend to get used to it, figure out the best way to style it or whatever.
I said ok, but we are doing it.
He said, "Yes mom, I am getting it cut. promise. I just want a few last days with my long hair."
**To the left of Mark, is Sebastian's thumb. He said I couldn't crop it out.
Weirdo.

I don't blame him for wanting to wait a few days...school is rough, with all the crap that other kids might say. I think it is only fair to let him have the weekend to get used to it.
But I think he would look good with a cut.
Now, if only I can get Mike to cut his hair already...he's been bitching and moaning for weeks about how he's tired of taking care of long hair. So why doesn't he just go and get it cut already?
Sometimes, I feel like I live with a 50+ year old teenager!

Justin will never cut his hair, I gave up a long time ago trying to talk him into it.

While I like long hair on guys I think your son there definately needs a bit of a trim XD You're more patient then me, I'd be like, "no you said you wanted one you're getting it now". Hell I might have taken a pair of scisors to him myself just to get some order going there. ;)
I can understand wanting to have the weekend to fiddle with his hair though before everyone sees it. Kids are cruel.

Joana,
Oh believe me, I know he needs a haircut, but it's all part of my plan to allow my kids to discover who they are, and be that person.
letting them grow their hair out, was hard for me, but I have to respect their choices and let them make those choices, with just a smidge of guidance here and there.
_____________
Jules, I know he needs one, letting him grow it out was tough.

He has beautiful hair but I can see how it might get in his way. Especially in the hot, humid Florida sun.

Why doesn't Mark try wearing his hair back? I know what you mean about letting your kids find themselves. Jeff is still wanting his to grow out to put into a ponytail. oh well we'll see.
