Looking for genetic traits.
About 6 months ago, I was contacted by the national scoliosis foundation, to do a simple DNA swab test, in the hopes to track the genetic trait that causes scoliosis.
I was more than happy to participate in it. Scoliosis can be a very painful, debilitating disease, if left untreated.
They sent me another letter about 2 months ago, letting me know they had received many other swabs from people with it, and were beginning the process of trying to track it down to one trait, in the hopes of being able to possibly find a cure.
I don't know how they'd cure it, but if they could find the one gene that causes it, perhaps they can stop it by coming up with some type of immunization possibly.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It may take a while, but I am glad there are people like you and the foundation trying to cure it.

So am I. It can cause lifelong pain and problems, so maybe they can come up with a cure someday. Somehow.
