I absolutely would adore having a grandfather clock.
My sister had this friend, whose mom had this huge grandfather clock in the entranceway of the house when you walked in. It was right directly in front of you.
I remember how tall it was, how polished, and silent.
The giant gold pendulum swinging side to side, the face of the clock with a moon and sun, very antique looking.
I loved that clock. I would stare at every time I went with my sis to her friends house.
