My Single Mom Life: Questions.

Questions.

So I went to PT, and all anybody was talking about was John Winter. It's affecting people.
We know they are just people on tv, but every single day, we watch them, we know them, if they showed up on our door step and needed to use the phone or get a glass of water, we'd be all hey! It's you! Come on in, stay for dinner.
They are family to us in a way.
I have to wonder what was hurting him so much, I hope they at least tell the viewers part of what the note said. I don't think we're entitled to know every thing it said, it's probably very private for his family, but the viewers who knew him for so many years, have the need for closure ya know?

I actually emailed the morning news team a few times this past year, because of the banter between John and the should be a blond, Gayle Guyardo.
She's kind of an airhead. I put her on the same shelf with Katie Couric. Totally serious news story, giant smile on her face, a slight chuckle at the end.
Anyway, John and Gayle used to go back and forth with each other all the time. I emailed one morning because it was hysterical what was happening between them, and Gayle seemed completely oblivious to it all.
She said something to John, he totally burned her in his reply, she mumbled something stupid, he burned her again, then he sat there with this giant grin on his face looking right at the camera, as Gayle tried to figure out if he insulted her or not.
Funny as hell. Bill Ratliff stepped in and said, "Ok now, back to work you two."
He totally knew John got her good.
But that's why I liked him. He had wit, he had sarcasm, always one step ahead of everyone on that show.
And they answered their own emails.
John had replied to my email within a few minutes that morning.
I was congratulating for the most serious burn on Gayle, told him I almost spit my breakfast out when he said it.
He replied all innocently, "What? I would never."
Then a few spaces down it said, "Don't let on, I don't think she got it yet."
I laughed even harder after getting that.
Isn't that funny?

It's going to be so weird now, watching the morning news, with him absent.
Knowing why he's gone.
It would be one thing if he quit, or got fired, or moved on to bigger and better news markets, but not this.
It's so out of his character not who he was, as everyone who knew him said.
What do we do with all the questions we have no answers for.

Just goes to show, you just never know what a person is thinking or going through. Scary.
