They aren't going to want to wake up.

It's my fault too.
I'm far too lenient with the teens on weekends and vacations, when it comes to bedtime.
Friday and Saturday nights, I let them stay up till they pass out.
School vacations? I let them stay up till they pass out.
I did wake them up much earlier today, then any day during this past week of spring break.
All week, I allowed them to sleep until they got up on their own.
If that meant noon, or 2pm, even 3pm, then so be it.
It was less time during my busy day, that they would be playing video games and arguing.
But tonight, after a whole week of staying up all night and sleeping all day, they are not tired.
Like I said, I woke them up early. They were nudged and prodded starting at 9am, until they were finally awake and showered by 10:30am.

But just like me and my insomnia issues, your body gets used to that kind of schedule.
It's gonna be hell in the morning waking up them up at 5:45am.
Their first day back at school is going to suck.
I do feel bad, but it was vacation.
They aren't little kids any more, they should be allowed to stay up late, have friends stay over, sleep all day.

I'm getting the air horn ready for the morning.

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
