My Single Mom Life: Archives My Single Mom Life: Think safe thoughts please.

« Hi. *yawn* | Main | Interview meme. »

Think safe thoughts please.

My sis and my nieces are in Maine after a very rough landing of the plane. A huge north easter has hit the state and things are pretty bad and getting worse.
My sis is not at my parents house yet.
She has a rental car and is driving in that storm to get to their house.
Please keep good thoughts they make it there safe.
It's really bad up there right now, my parents have no power at their house. My sis and nieces may have to go stay with Shell over night in order to be warm.
I can't even call sis because her cell battery died.
Ugh.
This is nerve wracking waiting to hear.

*UPDATE*
Sis made it to their house but the situation there is not good.
The Saco river is over flowing onto I-75, it's several feet above what it's supposed to be.
They are having 75mph winds which is basically in terms of what we deal with here, a category 3 hurricane strength winds.
Holy hell.

Thank you Christine, that was really sweet of you. :)
I can't wait to read it.

We've got the Nor'Easter bad here... never seen winds like this. Thank the gods your peeps are safe.

I know. I'm so glad she made it there safe.

This noreaster is causing trees to topple and the winds are downing power lines not to mention the flooding. My power was out several different times last night and this morning. I am glad your sister made it safely. Hope they all stay put fo a while.

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
