WAHM QOTW #5
Are you a work at home mom? Want to join a new weekly question meme that is just for work at home moms?
Then check out WAHM, and join up!
This weeks QOTW is:
Do you have a weekly meal plan? How do you plan for your family dinners?
I try to have a weekly meal plan. I have a list of fave meals that the boys love to eat, so there's no reason for them to be picky, and I mix it up every single week. I have approximately 60 different fave meals they will chow down on, and so it's pretty easy to mix it up on a weekly basis.
I plan my meals and shopping list at the same time, using a weekly meal and grocery planner template I found at the thehomeschoolmom.com
You can find the template here and then click on the left hand template. It opens in PDF format.

I subscribe to the weekly Menus 4 Moms and it has really helped me when I just can not think of what to make for dinner. I love how it gets you to make things in bulk and freeze them for later.

That's a good idea Kat. I never think to put it all into an organized list like that, only a running tally of things I need and any special stuff to make any special meals.

60 meals! Geez everyone else does so much better then me. :D I have a hard time not repeating every 10 days or so. I need to find more recipes as my kids will eat just about anything, I should take advantage of that!

Elizabeth,
That is a great idea. I also use kraft.coms recipe site, to find and make new things.

Suni,
It totally helps you not forget an ingredient at the store. :)
