If you are in Sarasota and need to take I-75 north to get home, think again.
I-75 northbound from Fruitville Road north to University Parkway, is closed due to a brush fire which is spreading and jumping.
Many homes are in danger in that area.
Local news and police are urging people to find another way to get home if you have to travel north or near Fruitville road.
