My Single Mom Life

I know his birthday isn't until the 1st, but I surprised him about a half hour ago with his present.
I went to xbox live, and bought a whole bunch of Microsoft points, 2400 points to be exact, then walked over to him while he was playing GoW, and whispered happy birthday.
He said "Mom, it's not my birthday yet."
I pointed to the xbox and said check your points.
He had this confused look on his face, and went to the marketplace and saw his points.
"You mean I can download the Shivering Isles expansion pack now?!"
Yup, go for it buddy.
You would have thought I just handed him the holy grail.

This expansion pack is for the game Oblivion, a totally awesome game where you have quests and all kinds of stuff to do. The graphics are simply amazing.

You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. It's downloading now, it's going to take awhile. It's almost 1,000 megabytes of game.
He's so freaking stoked.
I really love it when something so simple is all they ask for for their birthdays, but it makes them completely happy.
Too bad he's gonna have to shut off the xbox at 9pm so I can watch the season finales of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters.
