Got my new antibiotics, not keflex this time, and all the stuff needed from the store.
I need to rest now.
But I just wanted to say thanks to someone out there, she knows who she is. *wink*

I'm glad you had no trouble getting switched from the keflex to something else. I was a bit worried when I read that last post. So many doctors have *deals* with drug companies, where they can only prescribe stuff from that one company.
It happened to Mike. They put him on Lipitor for cholesterol, but he had to stop taking it because it gave him sever stomach cramps. It took forever for him to get the stupid doctor to give him something else...finally, they did.
Then, when he went to the hospital in January, they tried to give him Lipitor there. Finally, we got an HONEST nurse, who told us about the deal that the doctors and hospital had with the company that makes Lipitor, how they can't stock Zocor (the competitor, that Mike is on), and discourage docs from prescribing anything else. Even though it was all over his files that HE CAN'T TAKE LIPITOR...they tried to force him to take it anyway.
The health care system in this country sucks ass...it is all about money for doctors, hospitals, and Big Pharma, and not about patients' needs at all.
I'm just glad you got what you needed, and I hope you feel better soon!
