Here we are again.
I apologize for not being around, thank you for the emails asking if I was ok.
I was out running errands the majority of the day in the heat, and it has totally caught up with me, making me very tired and sick feeling.
I do not handle the heat well at all with the meds.
It was bad yesterday, and then being out in the heat today, well, I'm down for the count.
I'll be off and on as usual when I get sick like this, but I just wanted to let you all know I'm ok, I'm here and taking it easy.
I'm not really quite sure what to make of it though.
I keep getting a whiff of something like betadine, that brown antiseptic that my grandmother used to use on my cuts when I was little, and a taste like copper in my mouth, like I'm eating a penny.
The scent is much stronger than the taste. The boys say they can't smell anything weird, and seeing as they've never even heard of that betadine stuff, they have absolutely no idea what smell I'm talking about.
I can't explain it, but I'm really tired, just super tired right now.
I'll be back after I get some rest and stuff.

Oh my gosh, PLEASE get some rest and feel better soon. I don't know what the smell and taste might be symptoms of, but hopefully it's just something with the meds that will work itself out.
I hear ya on the heat....I am useless in the heat, too.

Kat, I know exactly what you're talking about. When I was pregnant with my oldest I smelled this metallic, just icky smell and tasted it in my mouth as well. the smell alone made me sick. I remember asking my doc about it and he said it could have been from the anemia.

You must call your doc about the smell and taste. I can't remember what it usually means, but it does mean something. Please get that checked out. And I hope taking it easy with AC helps.
