My Single Mom Life: Archives My Single Mom Life: I love our house, but I'd love it bigger.

« 8 Things. | Main | Crazy Hip Blog Mamas #34 »

I love our house, but I'd love it bigger.

I love how comfy and homey, and how very eclectic our house is, but I'd love to have a luxury home, a bigger home, but with our sense of ease.
You ever go into a really nice house and it feels sterile? Like no one lives in it?
All the family pictures on the walls are all done the same way, perfectly aligned into cute little shapes, candles in elegant holders yet never lit, furniture that looks like no one ever sits on it?
Yeah, I hate that.
I want a huge luxury style home, but with our lived in style.
I want my kids weird and goofy pictures on the walls, the drawings on the fridge, the paintings they have made framed and hung throughout, my band posters all over the place.
I want a huge gorgeous home that feels like a home and not a show room.

Me, too. I have such a distaste for 'cookie cutter' anything, and includes homes. I like unique and eclectic, too.

I prefer homey homes, too. My parents is so clean it's like a museum. Probably why I'm messy and my house is lived in. Though I, also, would like a bigger house. 1300 Sq Feet is too small for 2 humans, 2 cats, and 6 dogs. :)

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
