My local dentists suck.
I have a chipped front tooth, it's been this way for years now because other financial obligations have always come first, like family stuff.
When I finally had enough, or so I thought, to get this taken care of, I called a bunch of local dentists, and the prices were outrageous!
So I did some on line price shopping, and found a charlotte cosmetic dentist with low prices that I could actually afford.
But it's Charlotte.
I can't get there.
It's a total bummer too because I have the money for this at their prices, but can't get to them.
I wish my locals would lower their prices just a tad.
I know what people are going to say too, just use credit.
No thanks, don't have any first of all, and second, I firmly believe in you shouldn't buy what you can't afford to pay cash for, even for cosmetic stuff that would make you look and feel better.

That sucks! I hope you can get it fixed soon, though....my chipped teeth always turn to cavities.

We live in retirement/millionaire central. The doc's here target only one income status and that is not us. If you ever need to go somewhere and need a ride just let me know and I can take some time off from work to do so. I have vacation time coming:) I do know of one place that can put you on a payment plan. I am pretty sure it's called comfortable care. Just not sure where. I have two front teeth that because of Chemo have rotted away. I am like you in the sense that I usually take care of myself last.

Have you checked with your closest dental college? They all have clinics that are reduced price. Crowning or other restorations are done by either faculty or grad students, not *beginners* and it's usually at least 20-30% cheaper than other dentists in the area.
