Sarasota Greenpeace efforts.
This is for any locals who are interested in the Greenpeace efforts on global warming.
Here in Sarasota Greenpeace is working to educate and mobilize the
citizens to pressure Congressman Buchanan to become a leader on global
warming. We want him to co-sponsor the Safe Climate Act which increases
fuel economy standards and reduces global warming emissions by 80% by
2050. I have been out on the street getting postcards signed to mail to
the Congressman, holding meetings with environmental groups, giving
presentations and making alliances with business owners to show the
overwhelming support for global warming solutions. On July 1st we will
be having a rally outside the Congressman's office at 2pm to show him
how much the citizens of Sarasota care. The address is 235 N. Orange
Street and we'll have free organic Stop Global Warming T-shirts for all.
It will be a great, fun-filled, positive event for all to enjoy.
