That was kinda scary.
Mikey slept over last night, and he has his drivers license.
He offered to drive me to Walgreen's this morning so I could pick up all my med refills.
I was out of freaking everything, another reason I was so sick. I guess I really do need those stomach meds because without them for 24 hours, oooooh man, not a pretty site.
He hasn't had his license long, about 3 weeks now, and his parents let him drive to places like 7-11 and home, his friends house etc.
The Walgreen's I go to is a bitch to get back out of. It has a left across 8 lanes of traffic.
With no traffic light.
He did really well going there, but when I said when we leave you have a choice of making that left, or go the long way, he was like long way man. *laughs*
Yeah, thank goodness he didn't want to try that left.
Experienced drivers have a hell of a time making it.
It's a hardcore left across those 8 lanes. I've seen many accidents right there. I've seen many close calls there, and I saw a woman trying to cross it on foot, get fucking slammed by a soccer mom in a minivan. Not a pretty site.
So I took him the long way home, up Markridge road. I gave him the tour, and showed him the house where the mother was murdered with her quadruplets crawling all over her in her blood, found by her older teenage daughter after school.
They have since remodeled the home, but it's a well known address, a tourist kind of thing if you will.
Both Mikey and Sebastian were all "No way!" They were horrified that the babies were found covered in her blood and crying for their mommy.
Yeah, kind of morbid, sorry.
But anyway, he did really good. He was a bit nervous driving me, thought he was gonna wreck us. I told him he was doing fine several times, he was just nervous he was gonna crash with me in the car.
It was kind of a scary ride because he was so nervous about it.
He's a good kid though, he's doing good.
Now he just needs a summer job, just like Mark.
I told him to go to EB Games at the mall, Mark is applying there, they could hang out all summer.
I'm rambling now. I'm just waiting for all my meds to kick in and feel better, so I can get back to regular posting.
I have a ton of paid posting to do, so this blog will be about 9 paid posts later on today and tonight, into tomorrow.
I'll mark them as such so you can just skip over them if you choose.
I need the money man, it's been a sucky 7 days without working.
I just laid on the couch or in bed, took hour long scalding hot showers, attempted to sleep.
It really sucks being sick like that because I can't get comfy to save my life.
Ok, off to check in at places, catch up on blog reading, answer emails etc.
Later days.

Sorry you have been so sick. Glad you are better.
It is amazing that my DD even got her license. I am a very very nervous rider and just could not let her drive us places.

I am so glad you're back in the land of the living, girl!
I mean, really. You went to the long-awaited and anticipated Tool concert, then you pretty much died on us.

I remember that murder case - one of the crime drama shows (or maybe more than one) did the story. What a bastard her ex was!
The highway for this coast is only two lanes in each direction, with the ocean on one side and everything else on the other. I always take "the long way around" when I'm leaving the bank and the grocery store, where there's no signal light for just the reason that you mentiond. Way too many people die on that highway. I'd much rather go a few blocks out of my way and get home in one piece.
Hope you're feeling a little better now, my friend. I tagged you, so you can tell us all 8 Things about whatever is on your mind.
