48 years.
Today is July 31st, and the 48th wedding anniversary of my parents.
They met in front of Macy's during the famous parade, and have been together ever since.
They have had good times, and bad, health scares and health triumphs.
They had a child of their own and opened their hearts and home to many more, adopting my sister Jo, and then me, and also taking in a small army of needing to be loved foster children.
They complete each other, and each others sentences.
They have a love of the same food, music and joys in life.
They have their faith, their love, and their family, all the things that matter most to them.
Most of all, they have each other.
Happy anniversary Mom and Dad.
No two people have been more perfect for one another, and the many lives they made better by the unconditional love they shared with all who know them.
