Amscot solved the direct CS issue.
I got a call yesterday from Shaun at Amscot financial services, regarding the direct deposit of child support stuff that started in April.
Back then, the state of Florida refused to work with Amscot, because Amscot would not allow the state to access any customers financial information.
It was like a requirement of the state, that they be allowed to verify the cs payment was actually deposited, and other financial information.
That other stuff was a huge concern to me.
Why do they need to know my other financial information? It's none of their business.
I'm not getting any state aid, so it's not like they need to check for fraud.
I pay taxes on all my paid blogging earnings, and my SSDI.
Yeah, those of you who think SSDI is free money, I got news for ya people.
It ain't.
It's my money that I have already paid into the gov in taxes from the day I started working till I was told I couldn't work, and I get to pay taxes on it again.
Every month, I pay over $100 in taxes out of my SSDI, back into the gov, on money I was already taxed on once.
Uh-huh.
So anyway, Amscot finally got the state to accept them as a way for us to direct deposit our CS into our existing accounts with them, AND, they will not allow the state ANY access to our financial records.
Boo-yeah!
Eat that state of Florida!

Hear! Hear!
Isn't that the truth on the double tax crap!
Glad to see they are going to work together. I totally agree with the statement that they DO NOT need any of my other information.
Like you, I am not on any state program despite what many people think. Mine is an estate and the same rule applies, double taxing. I just spent out 700$ on the boys taxes this past Tax Year. Last year was even more. grr.

Gah, them taxing your SSDI is so stupid! I almost elaborated, but I don't want to give the govt any ideas if they ever happen by your blog!

Double-taxing, eh? Sounds like a government I know. That is just plain criminal, in my books.
