Entry #14
Over on Jules blog the other day, she posted a video by My Chemical Romance, supposedly the teen anthem of this generation.
While the song is ok, I think the one and only true teen angst anthem ever, is off Pink Floyd's The Wall, Another brick in the wall.
Tell me what you think. Which song is the anthem of teen angst.
Here's Floyd;
And here's MCR and Teenagers;

"The Wall" is a very good choice and was probably my angst anthem when I was a teen a zillion years ago. I was homeschooled too so it fit even better. :-)
I think an even better choice would be "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. It's sorta my general angst anthem though, not necessarily just for teens.
What do I know though, the ultimate teen angst anthem could very well be "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow.

I am too much a die-hard Pink Floyd fan to give the other a try. My choice is still Pink Floyd. (it is the for the kids as well. )

Pink Floyd, hands down. I've never heard the other one before and eh, it's okay I guess.

I LOVE MCR's Teenagesrs, but never really considered it a 'teen anthem'. Of course, I don't really consider The Wall that way either. My teen angst anthem was We're Not Gonna Take It, heh.

I am going to listen to MCR now, but Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb is my hands-down favourite song EVER of ALL TIME by ANYONE.
