Wow, yours goes for well over a week! Here in Messychusetts, we get one lousy tax free weekend, and it's the 11-12th. That's it.
And they wonder why people like us, who live in the northern part of the state, often drive up to New Hampshire to shop. They have NO sales tax at all. If we're buying a lot of taxable stuff, as long as it can fit into the car, up to New Hamster we go. The cost of the gas to get there isn't much, at least not in our car, and the tax savings often more than pays for it. And we go up there a lot for ball games and stuff, anyway.
If Massachusetts businesses really want to keep people from doing school and other shopping in NH, they need to make the tax-free holiday longer.
I'm glad you will be able to take advantage of this. Every little bit of money saved counts!
