My Single Mom Life: When Mark grows up, he says he's moving out of Florida.

When Mark grows up, he says he's moving out of Florida.

He and I had a long talk the other day about where he wants to go to live when he grows up.
He said he wants to see leaves turn red, and snow etc.
He was all, "I"m moving back to Maine mom."
I'm all dude, no way!
You don't have to go that far to see snow and leaves change color. Just look into some beaufort nc real estate, and you'll see changing seasons.
The Carolinas get changing seasons, they get fall, winter, spring and summer. They get some snow and cold in winter. But a house either in north or south Carolina, and stay close to mommy.
I may have guilted him a little bit, made sad faces and sniffles, so he'd want to stay as close to me as possible when he decides to move away.

I

Not for your son, for me! I always thought I would retire there. So much for retirement! Meh

he can move back and stay with me :) if he wanted to go to college here and check it out we'd take him but I bet one or two winters he would be back to you pronto lol
talk to you soon

Move to Maine kid! Birch trees in snow. Cool cabins. Possibly even a Stephen King sighting.

Mom will get over it.

My kids have been saying that for the last 13 years. Now, they've even got me pining for the fjords...er, pine trees.

My dad is from Beaufort County, NC on the eastern shore. It truly is beautiful although i'ts a bit rural for my taste.

I tell my daughters they can move out and go wherever they want when they turn 35.

I'm just down the road from Beaufort, North Carolina and we rarely see snow. Maybe in Ashville he'll see it but not in this area. With that said, Beaufort is a beautiful area. No doubt about it.
