In 1 hour, they get up for school.
I've been awake all night long.
Again.
I've been catching up on all my blog reading and other things during this time.
I mean, why not take full advantage of the insomnia?
I'm tired of fighting for sleep, I never win, so I might as well get things done.
Right?
But the boys have been asleep since 11pm, in the very same bunk beds that we got at a yard sale when we first moved down here 10 years ago.
They are excellent beds, they have lasted all these years, very well built.
Of course, they are the take apart kind, they are now two twin beds in separate rooms, but as I was checking on the noises coming from the cats in Mark's room an hour ago, I realized they are going to need new beds.
Soon.
Mark is now taller than me, Sebastian is as tall as me, and they are quickly outgrowing those beds.
I know I need to get them each a full size bed soon.
They are getting cramped in those ones, but I hate to have to part with those beds!
They are just so well built and sturdy.
We bought them used at a yard sale, the family said they had used them for about 10 years before we got them, so these bunks are about 20 years old, and still in excellent shape.
These are solid wood, huge bolts holding them together, and when placed together as bunks, those bolts hold them firmly, no wobbling at all.
*sigh*
My babies have grown up so fast, and outgrowing the bunks is just another reminder of how quickly children grow up.

Comments
Oh yeah, they grow up fast alright! Too fast! It's not fair. But save the bunks; you may need them for when your grandchildren come to visit. ;)
P.S. I feel the very same way about the fighting insomnia thing. It does no good.
