You know how when you move into a new place, it has all new carpet, and you and your friends or the movers, are going in and out, walking all over that new rug?
Then after everything is in, the movers have left, you notice the walking marks all over the new rug?
Looks filthy right?
Well now you can buy temporary carpet protection, just for this type of reason.
It's adhesive so it won't trip people, won't come up as it gets walked on, and it will last up to 60 days if you need to leave it down that long.

I could actually see using this in hallways or those high traffic zones from the front door to the kitchen etc, to keep the carpet and flooring clean all the time.
The price isn't bad either.
A 24x200 foot roll is $43.00. A roll that size could actually be put down and taken up every 60 days, repeat, in my house for quite a long time for my traffic area.
The area from my front door to my kitchen, yeah, it is definitely high traffic and it shows.
I really wish I had protected the rug better, had known about this stuff, but now I do so when I get ready to move, I'll be getting some of this to protect the new carpet.
