A change of number would be nice.
For the last few days, I have been getting calls from some commercial collection agency or something, for my old room mate.
I guess she owes somebody a lot of money.
It's the same company every time they call, and I keep telling them that Heidi no longer lives here, hasn't lived here in close to 2 years now, I have no idea where she is.
They say thank you, and hang up.
Then the next day, they call again.
Today, and it's only 4:50pm, they have called 3 times.
I am beyond pissed now.
I asked the guy if it's been noted anywhere in her account, or the record of these calls, if I've told them that she no longer lives here anymore?
He says yes ma'am we see that.
So why do you keep calling I said.
"Because people lie ma'am."
I swear, that's exactly what he said.
I was all excuse me?!
He was polite, I guess I just wasn't expecting that level of honesty, or such a blunt answer.
So for the last time, Heidi has not lived at this address or phone number for 2 years.
I do not know where she is, where she works, nothing.
Her mail stopped being delivered here within weeks after she moved out, so obviously she's put in a change of address.
Try mailing her a collection letter.
I've been very polite with your company, I've answered you every time you have called, but honestly, she does not live here and I don't know where she is.
You really should try mailing her or some other way to locate her, I can't help you with this at all.
He said thank you, said he would make a note not to call here again, and I hope they don't.
I hope she resolves this because I'm over getting her collection calls.
I get enough of my own.

My BIL lived with us from Feb to April or maybe May in '06 - we are STILL getting calls and they claim that they are putting it in that he doesn't live with us BUT their excuse for always calling back is they have several depts (it's the same company) and their systems are not connected. Yeah right.

I had that problem, what I ended up doing was threatening legal action if the harrassment didn't stop. I never heard from them again. But that doesn't always work. Collection agencies are usually a bunch of jerks who don't understand the concept of if you had the money to pay it, it'd have been paid already. LOL
