Ahhh freak out!

So Doc F. is totally freaked out about my white cell count being elevated again. I am sick and told him I was sick, so that may be why it's so high right now.
He said that's true but, my white cells are elevated all the time and he's very concerned, infectious diseases concerned. (!)

He said they are elevated and to the left (have no idea what that means) all the time, even when I'm not sick, and no matter how many tests or what kind of tests get run, no one can figure out why.
I see Doc M. tomorrow morning and Doc F. gave me my test results to give to him and said that Doc M. needs to try and get to the bottom of this, something is wrong and we need to figure out what.
It may be all my hardware, my white count has been elevated since surgery, my body may be rejecting them, may have been rejecting them all this time, or there is an infection on them or around them.
He said it's just not normal for white cells to be this high constantly, that something is going on in there and we need to get to the bottom of it and fix it if we can.
I really hate it when the docs freak out like this, because it makes me freak out.

After my appointment, I had to go to Walgreen's to fill the two new scripts he gave me, (I'm a walking pharmaceutical!) and while I waited for them to get filled I wandered around the store.
I could not believe what I saw the store employees doing.
There were giant boxes everywhere, they were unloading the new shipments and putting up the new stuff.
They were making an aisle all valentines day gifts. It's not even Halloween yet! And what about Thanksgiving and Christmas?!
It's crazy how fast retailers push the holidays on us.
They still have the Halloween stuff up but they were consolidating that aisle down, there were some Thanksgiving items out, some Christmas, and now Valentines day.
When I worked retail, I don't recall us pushing the holidays this fast.
Ok, I have a ton of emails to catch up on, work to do, and laundry to do as well. Oh yeah, dishes too.
I may just employ the teens when they get home to help me out with all of it, I am still kinda icky feeling, so I don't want to push myself too much.
Later days.

Comments

I hated working retail, because in July we were putting Christmas stuff out...I can't believe Valentines day already!!!!

Wow, that is unusually fast. Even at Tar-jay, we just now have autumn/Halloween/Christmasy stuff.

I sure hope it's nothing serious with the hardware or anything else! I don't like it when doctors freak out, either.

yeah...that's too early...maybe they are clearing out the stock room...or getting ready to close?

Tomorrow is Sweetest Day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweetest_Day We celebrate it here in Wisconsin kinda like Valentines day but not just for significant others. Like a "random act of kindness" day. It's seems to get more and more popular every year around here.
