But mom, it's cool.
That's what I heard earlier this evening as I battled my migraine.
It was a plea for a North Face jacket for this winter.
Apparently they are "in" and "cool" at school this year, and Sebastian wants one.
I was all what's a north face jacket?
He's all mom, it's a fleece jacket.
I said well you already have one.
He was all yeah, but it's not a north face jacket.
I said what's the difference, they're both fleece jackets right?
He was all yeah but mom, north face is cool. I don't want just a fleece jacket. I want a north face fleece jacket.
Oh.
Well I'll do what I can, but if I can't, you have a practically new fleece jacket I just bought not long ago.
But mom, you bought that one in February, when they had that winter sale. It's old now. I want a new north face fleece jacket.
But your jacket is new, you haven't even worn it yet.
Cuz you bought it on sale, at the end of winter, it's still old. It's not cool.
Oh.
But it's still a fleece jacket right?
Moooooom.
Heh.

My oldest asked for a North Face last Christmas. He also asked for a pair of high-top Timberland's and a laptop. Cause I'm totally made of money. If you decide to get him one, do what I did and shop for a new one on Ebay. I saved about $40 and a trip to the mall. I still can't believe how expensive they are and they have the audacity to not even be a real coat.

My kids have reached that stage, too. It's frustrating. I bought tons of graphic tees which the boys had to have one spring, and my oldest didn't want to wear them in the fall. On the bright side, he's working and bought his own back to school wardrobe.

North Face has been a must-have hot brand for teens and young adults for about 4 years now. It was originally designed as an active outerwear jacket for extreme weather conditions - e.g. skiing, mountain climbing, etc.
E.G. WINTER WEATHER.
LOL!

You do know that it does get cold here right? It does drop down to 30 degrees in the winter, and this is a fleece jacket, the same kind of jacket I buy him every year because it doesn't get freezing cold, but it does get cold enough to wear a fleece jacket and gloves. They actually need gloves here in the morning on the way to school because it's cold enough to freeze your knuckles off.
The boys have also lived here since they were really young, they are used to the weather here and they get cold in the winter just like the native Floridians do.
