Guitar Hero 3 has arrived!
That's right, we are now the very happy owners of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle
As soon as Sebastian came home, he asked if it was here yet, and it wasn't, so he kept looking out the windows and door like every 15 minutes. He has been waiting to get this game forever. *LOL*
Finally, he saw the UPS truck pull up in front of the house and he ran to the door.
I of course made him wait and not tear through the box so I could get pictures. (mean mommy)
We had read about some of the GH3's coming with the old controller at xbox 360 Fanboy, the wired one, at Walmart, and hoped that was only true to the Walmart stores.
It would have totally sucked to open our box and find the old controller instead of the wireless Gibson Les Paul.
So I'm sorta confirming that it's only true to Walmart.

The only thing that sucks is that it takes regular double AA batteries, not the rechargeable xbox 360 battery packs.
Luckily though I bought a Duracell rechargeable battery kit and batteries a few weeks ago for my camera.
I have this feeling we are going to go through a ton of batteries.
If I hadn't bought that kit, having to buy new batteries every time we played the game.
It could get very costly to people who don't have a rechargeable battery kit.
I would highly recommend getting one like this Sanyo Eneloop kit
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a game to learn how to play so I can kick their asses at our Thanksgiving day battle.

Hey Kat, I would try those Lithium batteries, they seem to last a long time. I use them on my digital camera and I use it allll the time and I change them at least every other month. They are tad bit expensive but sooo well worth it.

Glad that the game FINALLY got to you...I know how long you've all been awaiting it.
Rechargeable batteries are the only way to go. I bought a charger and several sets of NiMH AA batteries when I bought my regular digital camera, and it was a very wise investment. I use AA batteries for other things, too, so I get a LOT of use from the charger. The one I have also charges up AAA batteries, as well as those ( volt square ones that go into the smoke detectors.

remember when we had the old commodore computer and i practiced the jeopardy game and memorized the whole thing and then asked Mike to play it and I won the whole game I had 54,000 and he had nothing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
