My Single Mom Life: Koosh, pies, and anatomically correct.

Koosh, pies, and anatomically correct.

I was talking to my sis on the phone earlier about all the tests I have coming up, my sister in laws health and a pie baking contest that my brother won. I could hear Greg in the background laughing hysterically and being silly.
Greg is the boy my sister takes care of, and he has cerebral palsy, doesn't talk, makes a series of grunts and squeals to get across his needs or emotions.
When he's happy, you know he is.
He squeals so loud, and laughs, oh it's so funny to hear him.
His fave game that just gets him going is to play with the koosh ball.
He throws it far away from you, and when you say "Greg, why did you throw it over there, I'm right here!" He just thinks this is the funniest thing ever.
He loves having to make people go get the koosh ball, and that's what she was doing when she called.
I could hear him just loving the game and laughing. He's such a sweet kid.

My sister in law Jen who has MS, was doing something at home the other day, she was all alone, and she somehow managed to break one of her toes, badly.
From what we were told, there was a lot of blood from it. She called my brother at work and just asked him to come home early, luckily he left work right then, and took her to the hospital.
I hope she'll be ok. I hate to hear of her being all alone at home and getting hurt.

My brother and his kids were in some sort of local baking contest where they live, my brother won the grand prize for best apple pie, Mikey won a prize for what he baked, and Helena didn't win because what she made, was um, not exactly politically correct.

She made a large gingerbread woman who was anatomically correct.
Bwhahahahahhahaha!
That's so funny!
She was upset she didn't win the contest, but they cut up her creation and sold off pieces because everyone said they wanted a piece of the woman. *LMAO*
That is just too freaking funny.

Your family sounds wonderful, Kat! It was nice hearing the little bit about Greg, he sounds very happy :)

And the gingerbread woman, lol ... I would've loved to see that! She should've WON! ;)

Congrats to your family!
